He's right guys! The fact that the combat system is one of the best 1v1 swordfighting systems in video games makes it really shitty! Also the lore? Pfffft. If it's not a Call of Duty game, then it's shit amirite.
Fuck off.

Heaven forbid someone voice an opinion about something that doesn't agree with Dukov's!
I never said they were wrong. Stop putting words into my mouth.

I love the part where you don't even actually have dark souls or seem to know that much about it
[editline]31st May 2014[/editline]
also, even DarkSydePhil can beat dark souls
its not that hard, you just need to be patient. That, and I never really knew there we that many "ultra hard third person adventure games out there", in fact, I couldn't really name any outside of Souls.
It's nicknamed that way because Dark Souls was called Project Dark.
What if it was project souls?
Souls Souls
Demon souls and Beast souls... Dark souls just sounds sooo much better.

y'know, if you enter a thread about a thing that everyone likes, might be a good idea to not flaunt your negative opinion about it in said thread

I'm afraid dropping an opinion like this in public in a thread which is about the game is a bad idea, I'd understand if this was a review thread or something, but no... you did not voice your opinion, you just dropped in and took a mean shit to annoy some people, one liner is a hell of an opinion, am I right?

When the fuck was dark souls hard.
I mean it's hard if you lack any sort of common sense.
Isn't it the same as we had before?
The whole Gothic nature of it, combined with what I assume is a gun, is giving me a bit of a Vampire Hunter, Helsing feeling. Not exactly in my taste but I'm sure others will find that more appealing.

did you play dark souls and just walk immediately into the graveyard or something?
if you play dark souls it should be obvious that it's not hard just because it wants to be known for it
dark souls with guns
dark souls with guns
DARK SOULS WITH GUNS
I loved Dark Souls I&II, and this is exactly where I wanted the series to go, if this is a PS4 exclusive, this is the final nail in the coffin for my wallet, I have to get one now.

While the difficulty of the Souls series is really overhyped and they're not as hard as they're made out to be they're by no means easy games. If you say they're easy you're just tryna play a dick measuring contest. They're not impossible but they're challenging and you can't Rambo it- they're reasonably slow-paced games and require pacience, tact, and a solid understanding of the mechanics to be good at it. But I do think it's not fair on the games to make it out like they're impossible (its intimidating for new players for one), but it also detracts from the real reason to play a Souls game- Atmosphere and lore. The gameplay is undeniably fantastic, with one of the best combat systems in any recent games, but it's also not the best aspect of the games. The beautifully crafted worlds, characters, history, and mythos, which you have to discover through playing and putting pieces together, creating your own ideas and stories, is imo the best bit. The games would be shallow violence without this backdrop, and not nearly as entertaining or engaging.
While the games aren't ridiculously hard like people say (mostly because it got surprise mainstream attention, so more casual gamers jumped on it and were like oh goddamn cos it doesn't hold your hand at all I reckon) they're difficult and overhyping the difficulty just makes the games seem like gimmickry when they're far from it.
"you can't Rambo it" is a pretty ridiculous statement - my friend's first Souls game was DS2, he beat the game three times using Drangleic sword and heavy armor. He went on to DS1 and did the same shit with Zweihander. Even I did something similar on my first playthrough of DS1, I used the Black Knight Greatsword and it made most enemies super-easy. It's so cheesy I completely refused to do it ever again in a Souls game.
