Also, is anyone elses BBC live coverage just replaying the same 5 minutes of previous video over and over again?
Its basically showing a condensed clip, if you want to watch the actual BBC coverage use iPlayer.
GUYS. My Dad just said aliens are gonna come down and shoot lasers at all the rioters. Heads up, he was a police man for over 79 years and lived in Englond for his ENTIRE life and he has super secret connections with the Government.
Oh yeah perhaps i shall put my morals and ethics aside and ask how much of this is caused of the multicultural failure?
Multicultural failure? The majority of these rioters aren't even immigrants, they're British nationals!
To be honest I think it's going to take a very very large amount of brute force to get this to stop. If that means bringing in the Army, or TA or whatever, so be it. It doesn't seem to want to stop otherwise. It's pointless for the most part. Non lethal alternatives such as rubber bullets and bean bag rounds tied with tear gas would be enough deterrent for anyone. Of course it's just my opinion and it probably isn't going to happen as the government will try and solve it peacefully for as long as possible. And when that doesn't work, who knows what's gonna happen.
An advertisement for birth control if ever I saw one. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14458424
According to them, owning a small business means you're "rich".
The longer this goes on the closer we get to a shitty song being made about it. I am not looking forward to it.
Multicultural failure? (A lot of Swedes are like this..) I mean if you can understand what is going on why can't other people from outside the UK understand it.
Anyone got a direct link to the iPlayer coverage then? I can't find it anywhere :V
Tear gas is the answer IMO, if they had fired some tear gas in the air at the first riot they would have all fucked off pretty quickly.
Tear gas is by far the best they can use, fuck up peoples eyes and breathing most people would probably head home. Same thing with the watercannon, soaking wet in the middle of the night should be cold as hell.
I'm positive it had a big impact on the current social situation.
So what would your alternative be? No immigration from certain countries?
So what would your alternative be? No immigration from certain countries?
Some countries actually do this.
To be fair, I'm from the UK originally.
Have you got a call from David Cameron yet?
So what would your alternative be? No immigration from certain countries?
My alternative would be a very very strict integration and do everything possible to stop the creations of ghettos or societies in the current one. Sadly limiting freedom a lot.
To be fair, I'm from the UK originally.
That explains the common sense.
Some countries actually do this.
And it's shit. [editline]9th August 2011[/editline]
My alternative would be a very very strict integration and do everything possible to stop the creations of ghettos or societies in the current one.
Tear gas is the answer IMO, if they had fired some tear gas in the air at the first riot they would have all fucked off pretty quickly.
Definitely, but then again, it's probably far too inhumane to do such things!
Have you got a call from David Cameron yet?
Sadly, David did not phone my home.
Kind of makes me feel sorry for the police force, yeah there are some complete cunts out there, but with the glaring eyes of the media on them 24/7 it changes everything
Man, this is why I hate politics nowadays, the Tories there seem to be assholes and Labour turned your country into a giant pussy. There is no good option, you're just electing the least worst.
Man, this is why I hate politics nowadays, the Tories there seem to be assholes and Labour turned your country into a giant pussy.
Unacceptable.
I agree freedom is the most important thing we got, but it might be something you have to expect coming to another country. Everything have a price and this one will probably be for the better anyway.
David Cameron just called me and told me that I wasn't going to be called by David Cameron any more. To many important contacts over seas to keep personally informed.
David Cameron just called me and told me that I wasn't going to be called by David Cameron any more. To many important contacts over seas to keep personally informed.
How long have you lived here?
Wow he phoned me as well, it is handy how this happens.
David Cameron phoned me, but I'm American. I'm a Liverpool F.C fan though. He told me they suck and that he shagged my mum on an Everton flag :(.
I half want these riots to continue, at least this way, it'll mean most of the scum from this country get arrested.
