"pretty much everyone in England is accepting of other cultures"
"racist political party gets more than 100,000 votes"
Do explain to me how this is not indicative of something.

Out of 563,743 votes, at least a good number had to have been legitimate.
People voted for BNP to send a shock to the politicians in government, not really because they necessary believed it, a radical approach was the only way apparently seeing government had ignored public opinion for so long.
Out of what 27,148,510 votes, and as Vasili said quite a few of those didn't believe in their ideals. Because one little party got some tiny fraction of votes doesn't mean most people aren't racist.
Wait are we discussing the certain race populations of London?

To be fair, 10 years is a very long time. I bet that would look very different if it was the 2011 census. Shame it takes years for census data to appear.
Not to mention that is country of birth, this article would be better for it.

Well yeah, there would be the die-hard fans of course. Britain's population is 61 million, that's a spic of dirt on a white shirt, something that can easily be washed out.

Oh yeah, over 100,000 legitimate racists, no big deal.
Oh yeah, over 100,000 legitimate racists, no big deal.
Every country has racists in one form or another. It really isn't a big deal.
Oh yeah, over 100,000 legitimate racists, no big deal.
You're just being silly now :v:. 98.1% isn't a massive majority apparently!
Oh yeah, over 100,000 legitimate racists, no big deal.
Well its not
its probably a bunch of old farts complaining about the good old days, you are not even sure how racist they are, it could just be a bunch of people living in fear rather than hating. Technically the BNP is not a racist party, not that I support them, so you can't really say people in the BNP are racist, despite how clear and obvious you might think it is.
You're just being silly now :v:. 98.1% isn't a massive majority apparently!
So now all non-BNP voters aren't racist?
So now all non-BNP voters aren't racist?
Whose saying BNP voters have to be racist?
Whose saying BNP voters have to be racist?
You were basing that 98.1% off the people who didn't vote BNP.
You were basing that 98.1% off the people who didn't vote BNP.
Why did you bring use them against me in the first place if you're going to disregard your argument when I prove you wrong. I'm saying majority of people aren't racist, mainly from my own personal experience. Not that every single person in the UK is completely good and loving but a large majority are lovely nice british people. You don't seem to understand that idea and I have no idea what you're basing your facts off.
Whose saying BNP voters have to be racist?
The BNP aren't racist anyway, it says so on the first page of their books.
Not that every single person in the UK is completely good and loving but a large majority are lovely nice british people. You don't seem to understand that idea and I have no idea what you're basing your facts off.
Not that I disagree with the idea that a lot of people in the UK are nice, it's a little hypocritical to say "you're not basing your views of facts", when you yourself have presented no facts to support your claims.

I also like the fact you removed the bit where I said from my experience.
I also like the fact you removed the bit where I said from my experience.
I read that, but anecdotal evidence based on your life is not evidence for the whole of the UK.

98.1 percent of voters did not vote for the BNP, is that not a fact?
98.1 percent of voters did not vote for the BNP, is that not a fact?
That is indeed a fact.
I read that, but anecdotal evidence based on your life is not evidence for the whole of the UK.
but by gosh darn it's the best I have, and I don't know if you have an experience on racism in the UK but i've never had any problems with it. Whether it be in one of a couple of schools I attened across the country or just out and about. I have never witnessed proper racism with my own eyes. It's all well and good to look at events of racism in the media but that's something so isolated in much of the UK.
That is indeed a fact.
That at least goes some way to proving that most of England is not racist.

I have been to the UK multiple times.

Some of the way, I suppose so.
I have been to the UK multiple times.
That's hardly enough to base an opinion on it. I've lived here all my life and I'm part of the community. I don't have experience of living in London or anything but i've traveled about a fair amount and I reckon I can base an opinion on this kind of thing, all be it off my own experience knowing that others experiences are different.

Well that's your opinion, and you're welcome to it.
Well that's your opinion, and you're welcome to it.
It's unfortunate my opinion has facts behind it and plenty of experience.
Jesus Christ this thread is veering dangerously off-course.
Apparently the police are even arresting 11 and 12 year-olds for the rioting on pretty weak evidence. My father refused to carryout a warrant on an 11 and 12 year old after their teacher had told the police they had been rioting. He refused it because all it had for reason for arrest was "rioting in Birmingham", no place time or anything and a custody sergeant would never accept that as a valid reason of arrest. They did get arrested eventually after the teacher gave more evidence.
A friend of the family is a photographer and he was in the riots. He's taken some very good photos, as usual.

God, these riots are a joke. I especially dislike it when people compare them to the riots in the Middle East. Big difference- They were rioting because they were being oppressed and had little freedom. We're rioting because student tuition fees are high and there's lots of taxes. First-world problems much?

That's not why "we're" rioting.
Megafanx13 and thisispain, why are you both so dense? My head hurts from reading your comments.
People are saying there was more black people involved in the riots. That a fucking fact. Jeez.
It's not in a racist way either.
Please stop with racism bullshit now people. We're just going round in circles.
