I don't know if anybody else posted this but: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14456065 THIS, is disgusting.
Just watched that on the TV, made me angry
This riot isn't about benefits, they were never taken away. These people are rioting because they want to cause destruction and loot everything they can, because they are a worthless wankstain on society.
They`re benefits were recently slashed drastically, what are you talking about?
I wonder if there'll anywhere near the level rioting tonight that we had last night. On the one hand, people might have cottoned on the fact there's a shitload more coppers out tonight. On the other hand, they might be looking at the gear people have nicked and decide to go help themselves, and the people doing the rioting probably aren't the type to read the news.
I think 16,000 officers is enough to deal with it, and I think it will be less than yesterday.
And that's it is it? If you fail your GCSEs, you are no longer a useful member of society and should be left to die?
No, I merely imply that it is their fault they have failed their GCSE's. They can still be useful members of society, as every society needs a Binman or someone along those lines.
They give funding based on grades, the lack of jobs means kids have to do criminal activities in order to help support their families, they miss school to get the green (or pink I guess, you guys and your silly money) Grades drop, education funding drops, poor education means lesser chance of getting a job in the already declining job market, uneducated people fucking making families, children missing school, less funding. Good education is what these kids need.
Um, no they don't give funding based on grades. A university might give you a scholarship, but in the UK there is loads of financial support for students (hell, I'm on it), although they have removed EMA (but then again, that was never based on grades either). I'd suggest you stop talking about stuff you clearly have no idea about.
It's been posted more than a bloody stamp
Brilliant!
The amount of barbarism and bloodthirst in this thread is pretty sickening. It doesn't make you any better than the rioters.
Oh, sorry, I guess I didn't notice the buildings we burned down with our words
Out of a vague horrific interest, what would you say contributes most to the fact that they don't want to learn?
I would say "Getting 420 erryday" to look "badman" in front of thier peers. I would say that after awhile of skipping school to get drunk in the park they realise that they can't catch up on the work after one of their rare excursions into school.
They`re benefits were recently slashed drastically, what are you talking about?
The fact that the money-for-nothing attitude exists at all is ridiculous. Did it exist 100 years ago? No.
Out of a vague horrific interest, what would you say contributes most to the fact that they don't want to learn?
It's cool not to try in school.
Exactly. All we need to do is intensify the police enforcement, arrest them for their crimes and it's sorted. This isn't a revolution, it's just some yobs robbing people. Have you ever lived in the UK, do you understand how it works over here?
Lived in Liverpool for seven years, dissapointed to see them joining in. You may be right about them being a bunch of fuckers just breaking stuff for shits. But it`s obvious they have extremely negative feelings towards law enforcement officers so strong arming them into submission with police is just going to escalate the violence and cause more injuries and deaths among police officers.
The amount of barbarism and bloodthirst in this thread is pretty sickening. It doesn't make you any better than the rioters.
That is the shitest reply I have heard. 'Oooh you guys are no better than the rioters' Oh I'm sorry are my words looting and committing arson?
The fact that the money-for-nothing attitude exists at all is ridiculous. Did it exist 100 years ago? No.
Flawless argument ^^^ 99% of posts in this thread now constitute this
And that's it is it? If you fail your GCSEs, you are no longer a useful member of society and should be left to die?
No you should retake them, try and get into college or get an apprenticeship instead of dressing in trackies, getting drunk at midday and hanging around on street corners harassing passers-by.

That is exactly why so many poor people fail in school.
No you should retake them, try and get into college or get an apprenticeship instead of dressing in trackies, getting drunk at midday and hanging around on street corners harassing passers-by.
Finally, someone says it Agrees and winners for this fine gentleman
Out of a vague horrific interest, what would you say contributes most to the fact that they don't want to learn?
Idleness, they aren't willing to learn because they don't think ahead of the game, but would rather think of the fun they're having at said current moment by simply impressing their mates.
I think if this was any other country in the EU these riots would have been crushed within the first few hours. The main issue is the amount of red tape surrounding the police, the longer they leave it the harder it's going to be to crack down. They're going to lose either way, people will be angry for them doing nothing... then angry for being violent, but I think it's what needs to be done. This is becoming a serious problem, I just hope this "robust policing" they are planning tonight entails giving the rioters an old fashioned ass kicking. There's videos on the BBC website of rioters charging the police, it should be the other way around.
I can see you're doing a psychology course with a specialisation on the "rude boy" culture. That is exactly why so many poor people fail in school.
Well go on then, explain why you think it is.

Whether that's due to red tape or lack of preperation on the Met's behalf, you decide.

Riot police work well in large numbers and they just didn't have enough.
Also, I`m a go ahead and say that uneducated parents = uneducated children. I know I learned most of my shit from my parents. And if paps dropped out in grade 9 and makes fat stacks selling coke. I`d do the same.
I wouldn't exactly expect from a bunch of upper middle class white teenagers to understand why so many lower class folks resort to petty crime and robbery.
Stop posting

It's not a guarantee though - the only qualification my parents have is an A-Level in maths my dad got in the army, yet I'm studying Applied Physics at uni.

I know plenty of people who's parents died or they were in some way underprivileged, yet they still rose to some level of personal success.
This is concerning me because towns miles away are starting to riot just for the fun of it. My town is a total shithole and if it was to start here it'd be awful for me.
Oh, no. I understand why they do it. It's becuase they have bugger all. But isntead of working hard in school to escape what they were born into, they simply turn to crime in order to avoid the hard work needed to succed in school.
Stop posting
Jasun all you`ve been doing is flaming people with poorly thought out responses. At least Marbalo is contributing to the conversation.
