Concrete needs at least a week to cure properly. I certainly hope the first seven days were spent pouring, because otherwise that's pretty fucking dangerous. It's not supposed to take a significant load until it's properly cured, and I think several stories of more concrete and fucktons of Chinese dudes would be awfully heavy.

If you watched the video you'd notice the foundation was already poured at the start of the timer. They timed the actual construction of the building, not the preparation.
They built around the crane, which is in the middle.
How the hell do they remove that from the building.
It took them 15 days to assemble, not build.
so uh how do they take the crane off?

YES! But how much faster can it fall down!
... Dat crane.
What do you mean preconstructed material? Of course it is, you're not going to create everything on site.
There's a large difference between preshaped materials and entire ceiling/floor segments built in a factory beforehand.
Honestly guys even if it is prefabbed this is a genius idea for post natural disaster recovery. Something happens and you have buildings to displace people in just 15 days.
I'm pretty sure they disassemble the crane the same way they do it here when we build something.

Another crane to take the very top bits of the crane off, since the rest of it is part of the building.
This required multiple people on a low to no pay working 24/7 with pre constructed material, they were essentially doing legos, and the crane is sorta stuck up there
Pretty much all modern buildings use lots of prefab stuff.
I'm pretty sure the cranes support becomes an elevator shaft then they air lift the top of the crane out, or another crane

Another crane
didn't they already do this?
It fell down when the first people stepped in.
They made it again.
Cool another empty building.
Ummm they actually keep building after 360 hours if you watch the video... it's kinda cool prefab technology has gotten this far, now I wanna see the US build one in 10 days.
they probably do this just to try and look better to the rest of the world because they know their rate of growth won't last

Assuming you have the industry to support it. But absolutely. I LOVE the prefab concept.
now to revolutionize the housing market...

You've never see a prefab house before?
Just watch any episode of the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition show. They can erect a huge house in like three days.
20 times purer air? Gonna need it.
The Chinese kinda remind me of ants
You know the arachnids in Starship Troopers were a giant allegory for the Chinese?
The whole book was actually fascist propaganda anyhow.
I wonder how many people were injured making this?
Injured? No.
Mortally wounded and used as extra construction material? Yes.:downs:
and then a strong gust of wind comes and knocks the whole thing down
Everyone talking about the construction being shoddy/weak/easy to break: you're all morons that can't read the article, or watch the video! It's earthquake-safe to a magnitude of 9 - you see it being tested in the video! A little bit of reading and watching goes a long way.
