Tbh yeah it does
I actually kind of like the overarching story of Serious Sam. There are some fun ideas that have a decent amount of potential, so this is great news to me.
Also, I think Jewel of the Nile showed that Croteam took some of the feedback into account. It had none of the shitty new enemy types (except the space monkeys) and the level design was noticeably better.
