• Alamo Theater to show Team America: World Police instead of The Interview

We need someone to edit the thread title now. Such bullshit...you can always watch Team America on Netflix though!
I live in Richardson right next to this theater and know the head manager for the place. Seriously the only movie theater where you feel like the crowd is actually engaged with what they are watching. Also the people who put together the 30 minute pre-shows for every film are amazing. Guardians of the Galaxy with 30 minutes of hilarious raccoon videos beforehand totally enhanced my experience.
How is that even legal? How can you ban people from showing a movie that came out over a decade ago?

fuck I want to travel here every time I want to see a cinema too tired of people bringing their baby in to see godzilla, like wtf?
This theater rocks, saw the Monty Python live deal there, it was great fun
What the fuck is with this pansy ass bullshit? Has everyone lost their balls or something? When has anyone ever given a single solitary fuck about pissing off North Korea until now? Do people seriously think they have sleeper cells all over the United States just waiting to strike any theater that dare show a film that insults their dear leader?
Wow I live in DFW and didn't realize we had an Alamo Drafthouse here. I would go, but it's in Richardson, which is still like an hour drive from West Fort Worth if traffic is light.
Don't be a pussy.
Man, that shit ain't patriotic. I just wanna watch America do America things all over Not America.
Alternate title: North Korea makes american film companies look like a bitch.
Lovely that elements of our media are essentially being controlled by North Korea, all they have to do is post a vague threat to us and we censor whatever is upsetting them.

For the studios to react like this, whoever it was has enough dirt on them to put the top level executives away for a good 20+ years. Probably banking records. And anyone could take credit for it. I have yet to see anything concrete about the identity. Just conjecture based on the demands. And sensationalism.
Maybe yelling at the screen of a big screen TV from the 90's in an abandoned warehouse is okay in Somalia or whatever freedom-hating country you live in, but here in our non-pleb AMERICAN theaters, we got standards.
Standards? While people are getting kicked out and/or feasting on hamburgers in the midst of a screening? Nice standards you got there mVIII. Also do I really strike you as fucking Somalian?
