No the question is why the fuck do people use this goddamned fucking service
It's the most reliable filehost out there. Or, was.
I knew MegaUpload would come back. The world is good again :)
i love how dramatic dotcom is. he's a chill guy
What?
Well which one is he then?
Yeah, I'm gonna donate my server space and bandwidth to a paid service for no reward.
SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN.
Success!
That's cool.
I read the court case files against MegaUpload. There are actually very good reasons for why they have been shut down. However, many people had a lot of legal private files uploaded on it, so it going back up is likely beneficial.
damnit, more people using this awful service to upload things like before.
Why did people use it? 60 second download wait times, annoying popup ads, code verification input and slow download speeds?
Because all the other filehosts with 1 GB file size limit were absolute shit?

As did I, but the actual seizure of all the private files weren't properly warranted for.

Megaupload worked pretty good if used with JDownloader, you just waited the time (that every other file host service has anyway) and entered the captcha. No ads or popups or anything.
Have you seen his website?

This is like some sort of massive plot to not get Barack Obama elected or something?
Doesn't he realize they've been gathering evidence on him since Bush!?
Holy shit this guy is like a mix of arrogance and crazy that I've only seen with Rush Limbaugh!
And what innovation is he talking about?!

Your fault. Stop relying on online backups of everything. Anyone complaining about losing their shit in the justified takedown of MU should really just quiet down. You are the only one to blame for being stupid enough to upload it to one website with no physical backups.
Anyone who "Relies" on a service like this is asking for trouble. This is why you keep physical backups of your important files.
likely Megabox
Which wasn't innovative in the least bit.
He's just pissed that he got caught laundering money.

You keep it in 3 places, two internet storage sites or two physical storage sites and one internet/physical.
3 Places.

We will find a way

It's all good, that just means that we need to pitch in for a private island that we can build a server hub on :v:
Will the old files be restored?
Now they need to bring Demonoid back.
I had a platinum account with megaupload, wonder if there will be any way for platinum account holders to get extra features or anything like that when the site launches again.
I was pretty upset megaupload went down, it let me upload massive files pretty much instantly with whatever the fuck I wanted in them - I used it for a lot of garrysmod content while I was testing it with friends. It was also pretty handy for sending friends programs I was working on, seeing as every email service sees the file extensions .dll and .exe as the coming of satan :v:

I lost all my family vacation pictures when Megaupload went down :(
