Really?? As long as the food and supplies get to people who need it, who really gives a shit where and how they were donated? If you were in the northeast, and your home was destroyed, would you turn away food and clothes because they were used in a political stunt long before they reached you?
so would you be fine with that pakistani terrorist dude who offered aid helping out?
ryan actually did clean dishes; the whole debacle was dumb as hell http://firstread.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/10/16/14485409-ryan-did-wash-dirty-dishes-during-soup-kitchen-visit?lite
I don't get why he'd even wash dishes to make him look more human. Everyone is pretty fed up with lame things candidates do to make them 'one of the people'. Do something fun or useful.

I fail to see whats bad here? Am I oblivious or are people just TRYING to found a reason to hate him?
romney is the worst
I fail to see whats bad here? Am I oblivious or are people just TRYING to found a reason to hate him?
Don't underestimate the bias of Facepunchers. If a Democrat was doing the exact same thing, they would attack Republicans for not doing anything.
Don't underestimate the bias of Facepunchers. If a Democrat was doing the exact same thing, they would attack Republicans for not doing anything.
oh shut up with this bullshit. almost everyone on facepunch is JUST as critical of the democratic party everytime they do something stupid. the difference is republicans CONSTANTLY do stupid shit so obviously there's gonna be alot more attacks on them. and by the way, while the republican candidate is staging donations the democratic candidate canceled any campaigning and is in new jersey helping the storm victims. [editline]1st November 2012[/editline] but nah yeah you're right it's probably just pro-democrat bias!
the democratic candidate canceled any campaigning and is in new jersey helping the storm victims.
So he's doing what a President should be doing which is fuck all regardless which party holds the office. And he's hitting the campaign trail Thursday. but nah yeah you're right it is pro-democrat bias!

Then when a biased Republican media source is posted, most of the thread will be bitching about how biased it is. I saw many quick to jump the gun defending Obama when he signed NDAA into law. Something a Republican would be slammed to hell for doing.

Even if he did spend $5,000 in food and other items for this 'staged' event, if the 5k worth of items DID truly go to relief efforts - honestly, what is there to complain about? 5k of food and other items is a lot of stuff that will help out a lot of folks.
American politics.
Politics in general, actually
Shit is bad when relief agencies are like "yeah no fuck food, send blood"
Well you gota help out he poor Vampire's
-actually, I am wrong-
I fail to see whats bad here? Am I oblivious or are people just TRYING to found a reason to hate him?
He staged an event that was false and made him look like an idiot and a sleeze. If he just donated the food it would be nice. Having random people give you that food and thanking them in a photo op is just being a sleezeball/lair.

Fucking Christ people.

This is why Democrats get it and Republicans don't.
Benefit of the doubt is earned. Not freely provided. You get it by not being a dick every day of your life. This is why Democrats get it and Republicans don't.
Nice generalization.
Nice generalization.
Republicans are an extremist party with ridiculous views. As much as I might like to believe it is a generalization, it simply isn't. They are either too ignorant to know better or know exactly what they are doing and are actively bad people. They make it their mission to deprive other people of their rights because of their religious or personal beliefs despite all evidence suggesting that allowing said rights harms nobody. Their economic policies are a joke that barely even bother to veil the fact that they are only interested in helping the wealthy.
Nice generalization.
it's not a generalization when it's based on the parties platform
Are you saying all members of said party or just the politicians? Because if you're saying all members you just made yourself look like an ass.
All. The. Members. Too ignorant to know better or actively evil. I can think of no exceptions.
If you think the leaders of the GOP give a single fuck about what you think - if you think they actually care about improving the economy, providing jobs, or doing a single thing to help you, then you're wrong. Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Newt Gringrich, Donald Trump, and the rest. They don't care about anyone but those who dump money at their feet. They'll happily ride on the vote of the populist right-wing such as the Tea Party, claiming that they care about whatever conspiracy of the week that conservative extremists have dreamed up, but the moment they get power all they do is kowtow to their corporate fuckbuddies. Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and the other zealots who whip the voters into a frenzy over nothing are only there to help ease their passage into seats of government, and get a fat check for doing it too. If you're a conservative that cares about actual issues instead of where the president was born, what degree he got in college, or whether he smoked pot, then your vote would be better off with a man like Gary Johnson instead of the corporate shills that the GOP has been reduced to.
All. The. Members. Too ignorant to know better or actively evil. I can think of no exceptions.
What about the ones like McCain?
Shit is bad when relief agencies are like "yeah no fuck food, send blood"
If a good portion of the country focuses on a major storm, stocks for the entire country are going to be down.
where's the proof? i could write the exact same article about pres. obama and every would just be slurpin' that shit up - i know facepunch is biased but c'mon...word of mouth ain't proof
Facepunch wouldn't slurp that shit up. They'd probably say it's Fox News or the news site was bought out by Republicans.
It's just a cunning plan; he's putting on a facade of humanity to try and gain trust. The actual act is nice, but when it's done by the High Inquisitor it makes a liberal like me feel uneasy, like watching Hitler greeting his troops with heartfelt handshakes; might look friendly, but that doesn't excuse him for the coming darkness.
wow $5000 how generous of the man who was willing to shake hands on a bet for $10,000 just to shut Rick Perry up in the republican debates
