Would this make the next president the 45th, and assume the previous, or the 46th?
46th. William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, etc.
Paul Ryan (who is also being implicated by recent leaks), which would afterwards leave us with President Orrin Hatch.
Ugh just reading some of the stuff on that old bags wikipedia page makes him sound just as bad as Pence, if not worse.

Paul Ryan is a literal Randroid.

Oh I know, it's a steaming pile of shit all the way down. The preferred outcome would be a re-election with an interim party or something.
It's pretty evident that the election outcome of the election was at the very least influenced by foreign powers now, so that, as well as the lack of popular vote, makes this republican presidency a completely illegitimate one.

We can only hope, but if they are willing to cling themselves to Trump and all of his controversies just because he helped their side win, I don't think they would easily concede to a re-election.

It's too much to expect the Republican leaders to have any honour at this point, so ya a reelection is a pipe dream.

no, he isn't, he doesn't even follow any of the ayn-randian beliefs he claims to love

If you play stupid games you run the risk of winning stupid prizes. If anyone knew this and didn't report it to anyone, it's on them now.
Well whaddaya know guys, Wikileaks is conveniently on the case.
2. (S/NF) Background: Over two years ago Russia requested a ten-gram sample of highly enriched uranium (HEU) seized in early 2006 in Georgia during a nuclear smuggling sting operation involving one Russian national and several Georgian accomplices. The seized HEU was transferred to U.S. custody and is being held at a secure DOE facility. In response to the Russian request, the Georgian Government authorized the United States to share a sample of the material with the Russians for forensic analysis. Director Mueller previously planned to deliver the sample in April (Ref A), but due to a scheduling conflict the trip was canceled. Embassy Moscow LegAtt informed the FSB prior to Mueller's intended April delivery and received confirmation that the FSB would take custody of the sample after the Director's plane landed. EST Moscow also informed Rosatom of the planned transfer and that the U.S. placed a high priority on completing this transfer (Ref B). Once the LegAtt told FSB counterparts the April
Really Hatch doesn't seem that bad (by comparison to Trump-Pence, however low that bar is...), a typical Republican senator but he's not as crazy as the cabinet Trump picked. Defended a mosque in downtown Manhattan on religious freedom, criticized Trump's Muslim ban, endorsed civil unions and protected LGBT workers from discrimination.
He may be ass-backwards on internet policy but what 83-year-old isn't? It seems like he's not so entrenched to be unable of changing his opinion or making a compromise.
Mattis, as an independent, would definitely be my first choice for cutting out Russia's ties, but Hatch is basically Jeb which I welcome at this point.
This sounds really big. Should this be moved into SH for better visibility? This is beyond political back and forth now.
Considering this myself.

I dunno, maybe the wikipedia page is innaccurate but he has some terrible stuff in there. He's basically pro-Trump-esque immigration nonsense, and he's terrible towards LGBT issues.

His name isn't anonymous so why are you having trouble believing him
His name isn't anonymous so why are you having trouble believing him
It conflicts with his worldview and must therefore be false

Its the same dude that tweeted the staff was worried Trump has dementia. He got called out for posting that shit too.

It wouldn't be the first time a sitting president possibly had dementia.

Do you really think it's impossible or even improbable at this stage?
Do you really think a grown man with full recognition of his office, duties, and capabilities would utilize twitter like this if there wasn't something wrong with him?
I mean you're the one here who looked at many of those behaviours a year ago and said "fuck yeah that is my leader" so of course you likely don't agree but there's no sane way to look at his actions and accept them, in my opinion, without considering he's either 1) inept 2) unqualified and unprepared or 3) malicious or compromised.
Feel free to disagree but every time you stuck up for the White House Trump seems to personally deny you that
Daily reminder that every time nesto has had beef with a source the source has ended up true.
Ignore and move on folks.
can we get some sort of nesto counter at the top of Polidicks or something
like
"IT HAS BEEN [0] DAYS SINCE NESTO WAS LAST WRONG ABOUT A SOURCE"

I think the claims that he's not too terrible are meant as a comparison to Trump, Pence, and Ryan. Hatch is a fairly bog standard Republican for the most part. Which is sadly a huge step up from the other three.
Pleleaaaaaasase let us get President Mattis! Hopin' for President Mattis!

Oh ok fair enough then. At least he'd bring normalcy into the White House, even if it's the classic Republican definition of normalcy.
If only the universe were so good...
He's the first person in the line of succession I dont suspect to be implicated. In a better world he would end up in the oval office, and hell, he'd stand a reasonable chance of earning a second term.

Agreed. Considering that most top administration officials are implicated in some way, the only outcome that could possibly restore people's confidence in the electoral process is a complete do-over with an interim administration (preferably somewhat bipartisan so we don't have riots in the streets) to serve out the remainder of this administration's term, as well as comprehensive electoral reform including a requirement that all presidential candidates release their taxes.
Sanders-Kasich 2017 anyone?
