Socialists tend not to realise, there are other ways to pay off a debt without putting a new tax or raising taxes.
Less taxes = a economy that flourishes which means more money which means the lower taxes actually bring in more cash.

It's way more than scale. you have the whole political aspect, conflicting interests (both of which might be a huge problem for trump seeing how polarising he is) and an outcome oriented approach instead of the clear cut goal of maximising profit. also a government organisation has to balance limited resources with almost unlimited needs shared between different demographics and interest groups instead of producing a specialised set of goods or services.
