Need both caps and function keys for gaming.
But then again, this is on a laptop so the chances of this affecting me are about zero. It shouldn't matter on laptops used for school and work.
I use caps lock to type the first letter of a sentence in a capital letter. I know I could use shift too, but I've used caps lock for ages..
I haven't used caps lock in years.

I don't think I've ever actually used the caps key, even while typing in all caps. I just hold down shift.
Why get rid of the caps lock at least it has a use

Context option for reversing case, allcapping selection or all-lowercasing selection would be 90 billion times better anyway. Enso actually makes the caps lock key pretty much do this and it's so much better.
And who cares about function keys those were nice back in the 70's now they're just opaque mysterious useless pieces of shit that don't do jack.

The caps lock key is more annoying than useful. I keep accidently hitting it while typing. I ended installing a registry file to disable it.

I never use caps lock anyway, I only ever use shift, even if it's a whole word or more.
