I got used to pressing caps lock for the begginning of a sentence or for a capital letter then pressing it almost instantly after typing the letter.
Why? Those are actually useful. I always use those for quicksave and shit like that.
Precisely my point! How would I quicksave and quickload my games?! :/
I only use the caps lock on billy mayes birthday
I WOULDN'T REALLY MISS lT
In age of mythology, I killed my enemy's titan with rock-throwing saints! WAIT, THEY CAN'T TOUCH MY F KEYS!!! How would you take off in flight simulator from outside of the plane?
I use capslock instead of shift. Every capital letter in this sentence is done with capslock.
The only problem I have with holding down the shift key is that sometimes I hit enter instead of shift :saddowns:
The shift key is great for capitalizing single letters, however trying to write and entire sentence with it is a pain in the ass.

Why would they want to take away the caps lock key
[...], provoking some gasps, a few titters, and even a cheer or two.
I mean, gee, who doesn't like titters?
TYPE IN CAPS THROUGHOUT THIS THREAD TO SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION FOR CAPS LOCK. /caps
SHIFT KEY IS BEST KEY /shift
Fuck caps lock where are my F keys!
BUT IF I DON'T USE THE CAPS-LOCK KEY THEN NO ONE WILL TAKE ME SERIOUSLY. /c
Why would you want to destroy our one daily reminder of a god?
I always use it (just used it for the "I")
Precisely my point! How would I quicksave and quickload my games?! :/
Quicksave is terrible. What's the challenge if you can just go back 5 seconds every time you die?
Quicksave is terrible. What's the challenge if you can just go back 5 seconds every time you die?
Nah... in my case, I use it wisely and I quicksave in points where it would take me a while to get back to that particular spot on some game level... When I think "ok, now THIS is a good time to hit F3"
Well, those sort of spots are really when the game should save anyway isn't it?
Well, those sort of spots are really when the game should save anyway isn't it?
Yup... but I still don't really like auto-saves, because I always end up saving the game in a spot a little further than where the auto-save is triggered [editline]11th December 2010[/editline] I like to save my games when I feel I should do it and not let the game decide that for me
Typing-wise, I won't, I hate it when PEOPLE TYPE LIKE THIS ALONG wth txt typing wth shity seplling. However, gaming-wise, i would, cause when playing games like oblivion and fallout and other games that uses that key to use auto-run or other usage as well, I can tell that this new PC going to need a new compatibility with games (if they allowed it), when this is coming out.
I hate the caps-lock key.
Hold down Shift while typing. :colbert:
They're also removing the function keys, which pretty much means your fucked if you want to use the base linux CLI with the device.
And also, without the caps lock key how can we create VBS scripts to turn it on and off 10 times a second?
I always get about half-way through a sentence that needs to be typed in caps with the shift key before realizing that I'm a derp for not using caps lock. One thing that is nice about caps lock is that it maintains symbols, unlike typing in caps with the shift key where one needs to un-shift to access common symbols.

I don't bind anything to caps lock because I hate it when it's on without me knowing and I start typing.
Well they got rid of a key that had SOME use, might as well get rid of pause/break, scroll lock, num lock, sysrq, one of the alts, one of the ctrls, the context menu key, and tilde.
This sounds like something Apple would do.
