Revenge for MHX
It's bizarre though
The US used to get everything Pokemon late.
Honestly, this just makes it fair. Hope they have to wait the year we often did before they get it.
“servers have been strengthening the past few days, increasing load capacity.”
They still don't have enough for the countries they support
Did Ingress ever catch on? If not, that would explain part of it (but not the missing Pokémon I think).
Japan is probably Ingress's biggest market.
The Tokyo Anomaly yesterday was the biggest anomaly in Ingress history.
Japan gets loads of exclusive stuff like passcodes in vending machine drinks. Convenience stores and vending machines becoming portals. Softbank, Lawson and Mitsubishi Financing are all Japanese companies sponsoring Niantic. Not to mention most of their new stuff are usually announced in Japanese before the rest of the world gets it in English.
To put it simply Niantic has a really big hard on for japan.
Clearly not if Go is nowhere to be found lmao
Theres rumors McDonalds want to sponsor the game in Japan so adding that into the game could be holding it back

Now they get to know how the rest of the world feels.
Eat it Japan!

Wow, well I was totally and utterly wrong with what I posted back there then.

Considering how popular Pokemon is in Japan, and how dense the population is there compared to the USA, I can only imagine how crazy the stories about Pokemon Go will be over there.
Ok its one thing that the US gets it before Japan, but Europe? Haha come on.
I still think it's odd that news outlets are separating pokemon go from pokemon as a brand
Why has the rollout been so bad? It doesn't seem terribly demanding
If you're looking for giant spiders and marsupials, I suspect Australia's got that covered.
Found one in the bimmer this morning - wasn't a happy camper.
A large spider, that is.

Is this the right definition for bimmer because I've never heard it before.
What wankers and/or Americans call Beemers.
Wanker American: Look at that AWESOME Bimmer!
Australian: *shakes head and hits over the head with a VB stubby.
It finally came out in Canada, so I can empathise with having to wait. Is it because they need to color the terrain, or what? Maybe they are putting more detail into Japan's pokemon distribution map, who knows?

But yeah, first day, went on a ride with a friend who was doing some errands, and I have like 20 different pokemon, my highest is a 275 golbat named Datbat.
I really want person to person battles, but the way they made the system I doubt that will work :/
Iirc they said person to person battles might be in a future update
I just want them to add proper pokemon style battles. I understand that the current one is meant to make the game more streamlined but swipe-tap-swipe is really boring, and it seems to be done serverside and it lags.
Still no word on a windows phone port... how hard can it be. Im almost tempted to do it myself.
Now think how the Microsoft windows phone users feel... ughhh
Nintendo make em release it already....
WP users are so rare, that they should put up guards protecting then from android and ios phone ads.

Niantic put the international rollout on pause while they deal with quite possibly the biggest Slashdot effect in Internet history. I don't think even the Obamacare websites had it this bad.
Can confirm everybody is desperate. Desperate enough to believe shit like "it'll be released tomorrow" even though it is not an official account and there are no sources.
To be fair though, the game was developed in the U.S. and there are plenty of issues with things like servers, so it might be possible that they are trying to fix those problems first.

Sounds exactly like me in rural mississippi. Aside from some incense I haven't caught a single one near my house.
That's.. huh. Probably the first time japan got something Pokémon-related after US and EU.
game was developed in america iirc

I think they're worried on the player influx more than anything
Who needs a ddos service when you can collectively add all of Japan to the system overnight :v:
We can confirm that Japan players can login and run the tutorial, so they're no login limitations, but I believe Niantic have purposely disabled the cells that cover Japan from being available, much like SK for another reason. However the one point of SK that does have location data for ingress/Pgo is active, which suggests that the entire planet would have been activated for Pokestops, however the lack of such in select countries is what suggests to me that these are disabled on purpose.
Even through the game is developed in the US the entire thing is already translated, therefore I can't think of anything else holding it back
Out of nowhere, Pokemon Go is now available in Japan...
...but I do not have a smartphone. :poot: Not that I am interested anyways.
Fuck my twitter feed just turned into 80% Pokemon Go.
