• Iran too 'mighty' to attack

I'm pretty sure he's relying on the fact that Russia would be PISSSSSSED if anyone attacked Iran. Russia has shit tons of oil pipelines running through Iran and brings in shit tons of money from weapon sales. I read somewhere that Russia has said an attack on Tehran would be treated as an attack on Moscow.
The only reason Iran even says it's powerful is because they're allied with Russia, a major world power. [editline]09:06PM[/editline]
Western world = Nato? If so you're fighting
Learn what figurative speech is.
The USA would just flatten them if they weren't powerful. So they pretend.
The USA would just flatten them if they weren't powerful. So they pretend.
NATO probably wouldn't stand the US invading Iran randomly like that. Then again, they let the US attack Iraq, so who knows.

I dunno what's worse, Iran proclaiming so much powerful or you guys thinking your nations could flatten them in months or weeks.
I dunno what's worse, Iran proclaiming so much powerful or you guys thinking your nations could flatten them in months or weeks.
If you try to save the country it would take years, if you run in there with machine guns and kill absolutely everyone it wouldn't take that long at all. Not saying that people would do that, but the USA could easily decimate any countries population in a matter of weeks.
Whether it be a conventional op or an insurgency doesn't matter. Current operations can show the strengths and weaknesses of the US military (such as reliance on firepower and air support for example)
And how would any military utterly neutralize American firepower or air power? It's not as if Iran could touch airfields without invading most neighboring states, and American satellite reconaissance and logistical capabilities drastically outpace Iran. Reliance on airpower and firepower are not weaknesses.
They're using reverse phycology.
psychology Your spelling is bad tonight.
Or maybe he's using it on you too. He wants you to think it's bad. :tinfoil:

During the Yom Kippur War when the Israeli air force attempted to impose American-style air superiority to bomb targets with impunity, they faced an assload of AA threats for a good while. As for reconnaissance assets, they aren't magical all seeing eyes in the sky. They can be vulnerable to deception as used by the Serbs back in the 1990s.
North Korea moved to the middle east?
And thus the B-2 Spirit was born.
Goddamn Persians.
I wish China would just flip out and join a UN invasion force. I want to see the Chinese army in action.
As the tanks rolled through the gates of the Presidential Palace, Barack Obama appeared on live television to make an address to President Ahmadinejad. In the brief statement, he informed Ahmadinejad that he had just been shown "who is the boss"...
Go usa!
i'm sure us intervention in iran would create lasting peace and stability in the mideast
Human waves
What? This isn't 1950 anymore.
Pristamex is really annoying rate dumb if you agree and agree if you disagree
Go usa!
yeah, the US can invade them and help stabilize the region. they'll be welcomed as liberators. wait
[img_thumb]http://www.infoaddict.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/nuke4.jpg[/img_thumb] What would they do about it?
Oh yeah, that would be a great victory. For Iran. If the US drops a nuke on Iran, they can pretty much say goodbye to good relations with the EU, completely degrade the relations with the rest of the world to a point near hostility. Not to mention that the government's support would drop like a lead balloon and the markets would have a huge negative reaction. If you want to see the US' power falling really fast, dropping a nuke is the way.
