...what the fuck are you supposed to say to these people?
What can mere words do against such a colossal, ideologically-cemented wave of absolute shitbrains?
Congratulations, Fox. You've made a democrat out of me. Jesus christ, what is this country coming to?

my only consolation is the fact that only the fuckest of the fuckfaces would make an account on Fox Nation in the first place, meaning the comment pages there are an unfair sample.
and ThinkProgress
ThinkProgress is pretty good
ThinkProgress is pretty good
Not gonna lie, huffpo and thinkprogess just don't look legit, they look like some shitty as web 0.5 site and filled with unprofessional opinion pieces.
[editline]30th April 2012[/editline]
especially TP
ThinkProgress, AlterNet, AddictingInfo, and RawStory are all opinion sites, not news as much as journalism.
Huffington Post and MSNBC are just heavily biased news sites. Both are mainstream media, though.
baconator how are you using the keyboard
you don't even have a brain

msnb is the fox news of liberals. Well I guess fox is way worse, but that's just based on stuff they've all been caught in.
Eh Fox probably has more dirt even if all questionable or illegal things were revealed.
I like MSNBC because Rachel Maddow works there
[editline]30th April 2012[/editline]
at least msnbc hasn't accused the muppets of having a conservative agenda
I don't like socialism because, quite frankly, I don't trust the government. Concentrating too much power in a single overarching institution seems like a risky thing to do, especially in one that has continuously failed the people.
That being said, while I personally don't agree with socialism, I suppose I can see why someone with a different outlook might support it.
You can be a socialist without nationalizing industry under the government. There's a decades old debate between anarchist-communists/syndicalists/left communists/more left-leaning communists and Bolsheviks/'right' communists/socialists/your traditional communist over the issue of worker self-management/economic democracy versus nationalization of industry. One side is "hand control of the factories to their workers ", the other is "hand over control of the factories to the government/state/party on behalf of the workers (potentially using the argument that the workers are weak by themselves)."
Basically, you can be a communist or a socialist without government control of production. From the very beginning, communism in its original meaning was a system where workers, not the state or government, controlled the means of production. Socialism is anything in between that and capitalism, basically, and its original meaning was "cooperative ownership of the means of production." It wasn't until Lenin's time and that vanguard party stuff that the nationalization of industry really came about, with the Leninists defending that as the needs of Russia due to its backwards social and economic status. Not all socialism is of the variety you saw in the USSR and see in Venezuela or Cuba.

MSNBC is the progressive alternative to Fox, yes. I wouldn't say one is any worse than the other, I suppose. It depends on which party is in power as to the ignorance and bullshit that the stations spew.

yeah no doubt Fox is worse in that horrible person sort of way, but MSNBC sure loves feeding into the liberal stereotypes. MSNBC fucking off would make liberals looks so much better.

Bill Maher has done irreparable damage to the image of democrats.
Bill Maher is a comedian first and foremost. one who likes to take a lot of shots at the republicans because they are ridiculous
why does everyone in the states think that socialism is an evil thing? i got that they don't like it at all, but is there a concrete reason behind it?
Because the American propaganda machine is the most powerful in the free world, and it was working for full steam during the entire cold war.
[editline]1st May 2012[/editline]
And after the cold war Fox News has made their own machine to support whatever Murdoch wants.
Forward to complete communist takeover!
Hahaha what.
These people are stuck in the 60's, i think it's them that need to move forward.

So I looked at this Fox Nation website. And I noticed something.
The number '9' appears on it at least 6 times.
And then I thought. 'Nine' sounds awfully similar to the German word 'nein'.
And do you know who else spoke German? HITLER.
So what's up, Fox News? Or should I say, Schlaukopf Nachrichten?
Hahaha what.

Reading these comments is going to give me a tumor, it's scary knowing they generally believe what they say.
why does everyone in the states think that socialism is an evil thing? i got that they don't like it at all, but is there a concrete reason behind it?
Fear for change. The same thing that led the people of Germany to follow Hitler when they were changing how things were done politically for example.
Plus i am sure cold war propaganda did it's job very well.
Com-mew-nizzum is EVUL and is DESTROYING Amerricuh.
Wow some of these people are under the impression that America is right and the entire world is wrong.
How thick do you even have to be..?
Well, the United States is in the right!
The political right.
Seriously our Democrats are like, more conservative than the French Conservatives are.

Well it definitely isn't good for a democracy.
this is basically the textbook definition of grasping at straws
Well it definitely isn't good for a democracy.
How so? In no way is Communism harmful to democracy.
(Before you point to the USSR and the 'Iron Curtain'; that was a dictatorship with state-managed economies).

Communism works best in a small village environment. The Smurfs told me.
