maybe he is dead but just haven't told us that yet
last time i checked dead things don't eat
And no-one is worrying about the fact he was 'touched' by a 'goddess' when he was eight?
And no-one is worrying about the fact he was 'touched' by a 'goddess' when he was eight?
'Goddess' meaning it was surprise sex, not rape. silly boy.
'Goddess' meaning it was surprise sex, not rape. silly boy.
oh ok then
I think they should throw him off a cliff to see if it is invisibility he has or just this perk.
Fuck off with the programming. Time to have huge arguments instead of finding ways to actually accomplish this.
He's clearly cheating life... that goddess told him how to "pause" his life and he typed in IDDQD with the power of meditation... and presto, God mode on
He entered this code 70 years ago... that's his secret
[editline]04:27PM[/editline]
That's the only logical answer I came up with V:v:V
This is pretty amazing, although I can't say I buy into the religious stuff in the article. I can understand the prolonging effects of meditation and stasis but you can't really /draw/ energy from it.
that is FUCKING stupid
why don't you sit down and breathe and try surviving 7 days........
Well I'm sitting down now, and breathing, and I don't drink water
And I've survived for 24 and a half years
Would like to learn this.
I last ate and drank about 12 hours ago. Merely by assuming that this is the 'normal rate' for my personal metabolism, and that I could extend the life-span of food digestion and water processing by lowering my heart-rate and other systems, I would have to use... 14 times less energy to last a week. I'm a pretty sedentary person and I don't live a very stressful life. I live off small portions and water, primarily, because I don't have a large appetite (I assume due to, again, my largely sedentary lifestyle)
There is known data out there that as we slow our metabolism down our aging process, digestive processes, and even the requirement of oxygen goes down with it. I'd like to know this man's heart-rate, his blood pressure, his blood sugar, and the contents of his blood; those would go a long way to telling us how he might accomplish this feat and whether he's lying. Simply measuring his blood sugar levels could tell us if he was secretly eating or somehow retrieving energy from his environment. But slowing down the body's 'clock' by more than a thousand times? That's incredible and very difficult for me, personally, to believe. Unless he's somehow getting his body to do amazing things like retrieve energy from sunlight through quantum entanglement or something (which is a HUGE leap in evolution and a LARGE departure from our current energy delivery system and would mark a ridiculous change in his body such that he could probably class himself as a new sub-species) I don't think his claim can be accurate. I do think that he can probably do some very impressive things with his body through manually altering his body's metabolic processes through metabolism and being both healthy and fit but to slow the body down so much is hard to even rationalize scientifically; if he can do 70 years, I would believe then we are missing a very large piece of information about the human body (which is difficult to believe that we could 'lose' something that large given how much we do know about the system) or he has radically different internal structures and processes than we do.
(Personally, I don't think it's possible to slow the human body down to such a slow metabolism as to last 'without food' for 70 years -- the body would be unable to do basic things such as heal itself and generate new cells without sufficient metabolism; though I can't say that I know where the 'impossible point' is.)

Exactly. Like cmon think logically.
well, here are all the possibilities I can think of
a)bullshit
b)somehow, he can get energy from a different source other than just eating and drinking, maybe absorbs energy from matter that collides with him or sunlight, doesnt really matter how
c)our laws of conservation of energy is wrong, and somehow he CAN create energy.
well, here are all the possibilities I can think of

this one makes the most sense

The 2nd two are not possible.
So yeah I vote a).
this one makes the most sense
actually, I agree, the others are all possibilities, but Im thinking that this one is most likely

they are not possible as so far as we know, but it COULD be
jani is my nickname.
fucking awesome
I love spiritualism!
they are not possible as so far as we know, but it COULD be
No. Even if it were biologically possible to extract energy from the air or wherever he thinks it comes from, it's not possible for us to do it as we're far too along the whole omnivore evolutionary path for such a drastic change, much less in a single generation. You'd be talking about practically all of his DNA changing and also for it to change without any adverse visual alterations would be like discovering a new plant species that mimics Humans exactly, it's just ludicrous. You can pretty much verify if something's real by seeing if it's present in nature, other more basic organisms have undergone billions or trillions more generations than us, and not requiring sustenance like... every species on this planet would be quite an amazing survival trait, especially for plants. So of course this is bullshit.
Notice that he only claims of doing so. Hell I could claim I've been flying to Mars because I've been blessed by some "goddess" when I was 5.

Why was he banned if he read the article?
Thanks for the boxes, They'll do well for the "Bad reading" ratings I'm about to ship off to you fucks.
This is not the first time someone's claimed they can survive without eating or drinking. There's a whole belief system about it called "breatharianism." (seriously, I'm not joking!) They did this test with this woman named Jasmuheen back in the 90s and she made it 4 days before they called off the test because she was obviously dehydrated and going to die if she kept it up. She has a bunch of followers and a few people have died because they believed in it so strongly and refused their bodies food or water. So yeah, I don't think this guy is any different. Humans cannot survive without food or water.
Sounds like a load of total bullshit to me, unless he's part plant or something.
Wow it's even a reliable source.
What the fuck is going on.
So did how do we know he actually didn't eat?
April 22nd isn't that long without eating or drinking.
Which can be recycled, thus evading a violation.
That's stupid. You don't seem to understand, you can't just recycle the energy like that. Energy is lost in respiration, without respiration his body would cease to function; ie he'd be dead.
Ever heard of body heat? Energy is lost in the form of heat.
Are you breathing? You're expelling energy.
Are your muscles utilizing the potential energy found in Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to function? Yes, they are.
Adenosine diphosphate (ADP) needs another phosphate group and can't function as a unit of energy, so oxidative phosphorylation takes place. A cell takes the ADP and combines it with another phosphate group, in a reaction that requires energy to take place. Stored until needed, the ATP is utilized via dephosphorylation, the energy is lost,(not destroyed, but it's going to leave the body as heat) ADP and the phosphate group from early are free again. The process repeats as soon as the phosphate group and the ADP have the energy the need to reconnect.
Hopefully that's simple enough to understand, tried to put it layman's terms as best I could.
Even if he was some sort of a "plant man" he'd still have to have water.
The posts in support of this story's claims are shocking and quite funny.
The posts in support of this story's claims are shocking and quite funny.
Not matter what one says, regardless of how stupid it may be, there's always going to be someone who is going to take it as fact.
Alright, while I admit that something that we don't yet understand could be occurring, I think we can all admit that the simplest answer is that it's a hoax. The simplest answer tends to be the right one.
