Because every story will always be sensationalized in a way that gets the most views? Because simplistic articles don't always convey what could be more complex than it seems as first glance? Because, most of the time, people [i]aren't[/i] as dumb as the simple caricatures based on news snippets?
Do you take every Daily Mail and Fox News article purely at face value too, or do you reserve judgment until you've heard the whole story when the headline seems ridiculous? There have been plenty of stories that look like someone just being an idiot that have turned out to be a lot more complicated than the media spin.
Last time this happened the firefighter sued and won big time.
This guy needs to do the same.
CHP sounds like he is just pissed because he wanted to be a firefighter and could not be.
