Denmark still is a NATO country, we have quite the strategic importance too since we have a lot to do and say about anything that goes in or out of the baltic sea. This is more a source of concern if a Russo-American war erupted, but for some reason I have this fear of CIS and China ganging up on the west.
There is nothing to fear of at this point in time. This kind of stuff happens every year, and nothing happens. You can fear when China, or whatever other country, launches an attack at the U.S.
The USSR has been closer to us than China has been with nuclear capable bombers.
This is just military posturing and 'hey fuck you'. Which we've been doing since they built those fake islands with our AWACs flying overhead.
It's just dickwaving, although it is jarring to see China dickwaving since despite our rocky relationship most people have viewed them as fairly cordial with the US since the 60s.
I blame Xi Jinping and the nationalistic movement China is undergoing. They really want to be a superpower again.

When were they before?
Why are people getting so riled up by this?

To enter the Bering's sea without being a nation that borders it, I think you must enter Alaskan water. And they did it all according to international law. They recently exercised with Russia relatively close by in the Sea of Japan.

When I read the comments on news site it's as if a war has broken out. Saw some Chinese dude and an American arguing about being able to destroy each other's army within minutes.
Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Jonathan Greenert said he did not view the incident, an apparent first for China's military, as unexpected or alarming.
"They already had one of their icebreakers up in that area, and they weren't that far away with an exercise, and they've already started their return transit," he told Reuters in an interview.
Greenert said the ships had been seen in the Bering Sea, close to some Alaskan atolls, on Wednesday, but gave no further details.
The Pentagon confirmed on Wednesday the ships had been sailing in international waters.
China's Defense Ministry, in a statement sent to Reuters on Thursday, said the ships were in the Bering Sea as part of a routine drill following the completion of military exercises with Russia.
"This is a routine arrangement as part of annual plans, and is not aimed at any set country or goal," it said, without providing any other details.
I guess the news here is that they did it for the first time.
well chinese military officials are fairly open to the idea of war with the US, and some consider it inevitable. There's a fair amount of pop culture involving that war apparently. In the US its part of the strategic plan, but its not as open and verbatim among top military officials here. I think.

People keep saying this.
Can I have a source?
China and America lean on eachother for economic stability. It would be world war 3. Everyone's always like "Oooooooohhhh!!!" but nothings going to happen it would cripple both countries and kill us all. If America were to go to war with China I'd expect you all to March on the Whitehouse and kill every fucker in it for the good of mankind.
It's impossible to say "nothing will happen" with the tensions this high, all it takes are a few misunderstood winks and nudges and all hell breaks loose.
While it is highly improbable that anything bad will happen, it's not going to make me less scared.
The tensions aren't even high what are you on about, things are a lot worse with Russia right now

I'd be more twingy if they did it around somewhere like Hawaii or Guam to be honest, considering that's where major areas of US naval projection are.
Not surprised that they diddled about in the Aleutians, the Reds were doing it for decades.
Man reading these armchair generals is getting pretty cringey.

From your own source:
According to Richard Dawkins of the University of Oxford, so-called laws like Murphy's law and Sod's law are nonsense because they require inanimate objects to have desires of their own, or else to react according to one's own desires.

See this is why I don't debate.

Because I suck.

Just need to find patience to read before you post :v:
In my defense I'm running on 8 hours of sleep in the past three days, due to my daughter being born.
As long as they stay out of our backyard I really don't care.
Just about everything they could throw at us from outside our waters would most likely be intercepted by Missile Defense before it comes close to shore, not to mention we would retaliate pretty hard if shit kicked off.

Nobody knows what could start WW3. That's the nature of global conflicts - they just snowball out of control, someone invades someone and soon enough most of the worlds' powers are dragged in. That shit could be started "accidentally".
That said, there won't be WW3. Way too much communication between everyone, thanks to widely criticized UN.

The UN is rather useless in conflicts.
I would say the lack of a WW3 is due to the interconnections of global economies. It's no longer feasible to go to war with many other nations as it'll kill over your economy.
This and the fact that they have recently changed their nuclear warfare policies to no longer disallowing first strikes really fucking bothers me.
The cock-waving that is happening as of recently scares the shit out of me.
the US never disallowed either, your point?
United States
The United States has refused to adopt a no-first-use policy, saying that it "reserves the right to use" nuclear weapons first in the case of conflict.
