No the fetus does not have thought that concerns their independant person because it is still in the womb attached to the mother.

proof of that?
you justify murder on the basis that the one being killed is inferior to you
so is a fetus around 20 weeks
but is there any sense of memory? any sense of "person" or just errant brain connectivity?
Does a chick have independent thought while still in the egg?
proof of that?
If you ask me for proof then I demand you show your proof first as you have said it before me in chronological order.
proof of that?
Every day common sense. VERY common sense at that. Your not self aware till your like, 4-6
but is there any sense of memory? any sense of "person" or just errant brain connectivity?
I'm not really contributing, if you notice.
presence of fetal short-term memory of 10 minutes at 30 weeks
Wow, how ever impressive.
This isn't enough to warrant mans control over a womans fetal stages.
yea it does, a man has a right to protect his child
yea it does, a man has a right to protect his child
It's not his child until it leaves the woman.
because it gives the man an equal say in the death of a child.
Actually, it doesn't. Having veto power means having more power, and in this decision someone needs veto power.
The only clean way to do this is to give more power to the party that actually bears 100% of the responsibility of giving birth, the mother.
It's not his child until it leaves the woman.
its his child when it turns into a fetus and becomes self aware around 20 weeks
Actually, it doesn't. Having veto power means having more power, and in this decision someone needs veto power.
no actually having veto power over a decision gives the person equal power
The only clean way to do this is to give more power to the party that actually bears 100% of the responsibility of giving birth, the mother.
thats not a clean way of doing it because if it ends up killing another persons child that is morally reprehensible

You're drawing this conclusion from evidence that itself doesn't point to the conclusion you say it does. You're doing what santorum does.

wat?
You're doing what santorum does.
ad hominem
edit: or genetic fallacy maybe

At which point during the pregnancy do you consider it a child, out of curiosity?
At which point during the pregnancy do you consider it a child, out of curiosity?
around 20 weeks
Having veto power doesn't give equal power, what the hell are you on?
If two people had the ability to buy property, but one had veto power then there's more power given to the person with the veto power than the other who doesn't and it forces the other person without the veto power to live by what the person with the veto power thus it isn't equal at all.
actually more around 23-26 weeks
not if both have veto power
actually more around 23-26 weeks
So before that do you think it should be 100% the woman's call?
I'm not looking to start agreeing with you, just painting a picture
but little is known about the exact timing or for how long memory lasts.
What more do you need?
So before that do you think it should be 100% the woman's call?

yea, before the fetus develops self consciousness and its senses it is not the fathers or mothers child, because it isnt a child
not if both have veto power
Then how the fuck does it work, it's an analogy for your thinking of abortion.
