You're overanalyzing this.
Anyone "attacking him" for the post is being silly, yes it was unnecessary but there is guaranteed to be many unnecessary posts in every SH thread. The only reason anyone is taking particular note of this one is because it deals with sex and apparently this is simply too large a "bragging point" for everyone to just move on and ignore the post. This really isn't important.
