for the us the crown vic has been iconic, and now a ton of pd's are starting to incorporate stuff like dodge chargers and other stupid wannabe tough looking cars

i know it makes no difference but to me it sorta dampens the professional vibe of the police force when some little riceburner looking car with a spoiler vrooms up to me

Yeah while the general population is increasing their technology and power with road vehicles (especially high-class criminal types), the police force should stay behind with what they got, 'cause, you know, it's [i]professional[/i]...

Mostly speculation on my part, and I can't really see from the pictures there, but I imagine the lights weren't properly covered, meaning it fell foul of the laws regarding emergency lights on cars, which are meant to be disconnected and covered when on a public highway if not an emergency vehicle. You can have flashing lights on your car and all that on private land if you want, it's your land after all, but not on a public highway.

Logos on the car might also have to be covered, I'm not actually sure about them.

i also don't think that a police force needs such a huge budget that they can afford a high end sports car, i think those resources are more wisely spent elsewhere
