Whilst the Police in the UK generally don't need super fast cars to catch yobs we do have some just in case things get spicy. Midlands Police have a lotus: Plus there are a whole bunch of Mitsubishi-Lancer-Evo's that get deployed from time to time: [t]http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/12/2008/12/Mitsubishi-Lancer-Evo-X-Pol.jpg[/t] Vroom
as if lights that burn into your retinas aren't enough?
better safe than sorry
as if lights that burn into your retinas aren't enough?
As if people still dont see the vehicle and hit it anyway
As if people still dont see the vehicle and hit it anyway
Atleast bad visibility is ruled out then, so the option of people being idiots is the only one left.
In can understand if the guy looked like he was impersonating British Police....but he wasn't even impersonating New York Police except for the car with a bunch of details missing. Don't see the point in arresting him for having a bit fun.
random american flag
No such thing.

That small gun in the front seat had me fooled for a few seconds I thought it was an mp-40 at first.

It's all in all a pretty poor replica.
Fuck yeah Sussex police!
Kent police tend to keep a teddy bear in each car IIRC for kids, clearly the best police.
i bet they only had like one in working condition at any time
It might just be puddles but it looks like a few of the cars puked on the parking lot.
The BMW's I see around Sussex look the best [thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c6/SUSPOL530d.jpg/800px-SUSPOL530d.jpg[/thumb] Not sure which big of the police use them (Traffic or whatever)
It might just be puddles but it looks like a few of the cars puked on the parking lot.
Its where they normally park the Harleys.
I was driving towards London a while back and I saw an American style squad car. [t]http://i.imgur.com/J4g3fuI.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/I2HIXWs.jpg[/t] So to confirm, as it wasn't clear in the article, he was arrested for impersonating an officer, not for driving the car?

So to confirm, as it wasn't clear in the article, he was arrested for impersonating an officer, not for driving the car?
Mostly speculation on my part, and I can't really see from the pictures there, but I imagine the lights weren't properly covered, meaning it fell foul of the laws regarding emergency lights on cars, which are meant to be disconnected and covered when on a public highway if not an emergency vehicle. You can have flashing lights on your car and all that on private land if you want, it's your land after all, but not on a public highway. Logos on the car might also have to be covered, I'm not actually sure about them.

I bet officer knight raided the mcdonalds so he can get his almighty heart attack sword with his shiny metal armor. After that he was taken down by the england police.
What went through his mind thinking this plan would work?

Looks pretty slick
i also don't think that a police force needs such a huge budget that they can afford a high end sports car, i think those resources are more wisely spent elsewhere
imho the Dodge Challenger is a perfect police car for today
imho the Dodge Challenger is a perfect police car for today
The interceptor with the ecoboost still takes the cake (imo) the challenger just is just too big
i think it's funny, that our shitty "fuck god damn not another one" cars that we see every day here in the states are head-turners over seas. But it's also funny that we do the same thing here, I know i'd shit myself if I saw a EUDM Renault, Citroen, or even a fucking Opel.
The interceptor with the ecoboost still takes the cake (imo) the challenger just is just too big
By Interceptor do you mean this one? [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0d/2013_Ford_Police_Interceptor_sedan_--_07-11-2012.JPG[/t] On that note, I'm gonna miss the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, it was the American (and Canadian) Police Car.. Does anyone know why it was discontinued anyway?
