To my knowledge privatization has already begun. I believe you no longer need to show a medical card at dispensaries in the states where it's legalized.
I could be wrong though.
Free weed
So it's going to be sold in stores just like any product?
The more dangerous products tobacco and alcohol seem to be sold like that most places...
Wish you all the best of luck...
So far it's been pretty amusing/fun here in Colorado. Everyone is smoking it, and no one gives a shit. It's still illegal to smoke and drive, but of course everyone does it still.. and the result is a bit of an overwhelmed police force that doesn't quite know what to do with it.
But I have to say; Going to a friends' party in the back of a Limo he rented, smoking the fattest blunt I have ever smoked, was quite the fucking blast.
This is precisely why people oppose legalization.
thing is, most people who smoke weed are under 21
atleast most people i know that do it
(and anyone who's over 21 and smokes it is a high-school dropout who still lives with their parents)
I wonder what it will seem like in a couple of generations, our generation will be a weird group of grandparents.
"Back in my day there was no same sex marriage and you could go to prison for smoking weed!"
Maybe by then it will be legal everywhere, and everyone will think of this as being as dumb as we think the prohibition of alcohol was.
Yesssss...

You realize, that it is excessively bad to drive high, not because of reaction times but that if you get in an accident, that only increases anti-legalization.
Given this state i would actually be a little surprised to see it not passed.
Good state to grow in from what i heard too.
It'd sure as fuck cut down on the obscene amount of money we spend on cracking down on it. It's like some odd million just patrolling middle PA with helicopters to find farms.
Philadelphia is only 20 minutes away from me
Maybe living in Philly will actually have benefits soon.
All the sudden Tastykake sales skyrocket

You could say for the other generations
"Back in my day blacks and mexicans were treated like animals"
Dead on arrival. Fienstien's insane weapons ban has a better chance of happening than this.
When it comes down to it, the US government is more adept at criminalizing and prosecuting things that old white people don't like than protecting freedoms and civil liberties.
State =/= all states
This is just for Pennsylvania.

Thanks for clarifying. I thought Pennsylvania accounted for the whole United States!
Common misconception, the more you know.

As a Pittsburgh citizen, this is pretty exciting. Pittsburgh being significant, because Snoop Dogg is known to fly here just to pick up a few trash bags full of Pittsburgh weed.
Democrat State Sen. Daylin Leach, who represents Montgomery and Delaware counties, announced plans to introduce legislation that would legalize marijuana in Pennsylvania.
Weeds okay as long as you don't become a addict. Then you get into stealing to fuel your obsession.
