• North Korea demands apology, reparations from Japan over colonization
I still think the most disgusting of Japanese acts during WWII was castrating US POW's and feeding them their own genitals.
You mean besides raping and impregnating a woman, then removing the fetus from the woman's stomach later without anesthesia? I want you to think about that. Imagine being fed your own genitalia. Got it? Now imagine you're a woman. You get raped, then later a doctor straps you to the table and forces you to watch (and feel) as he slices open your stomach and pulls out the fetus inside. [editline]01:59PM[/editline] Honestly, both would make me wish for the sweet release of death, but come on!
This thread is really churning my stomach...
This thread is really churning my stomach...
World War 2 was not a very nice place to eat pie
Hasn't North Korea demanded this a few times already?
I thought Japan already apologized, I remember seeing a thread on that article a few months back.
got dam
I hope this isn't real.
I thought Japan already apologized, I remember seeing a thread on that article a few months back.
A prime minister here and there issuing a "genuine" apology has happened before, but they still enshrine war criminals in the Yasukuni Shrine and most of you know about the infamous Japanese textbook revisions. In the eyes of many, Japan has not straightforwardly apologized for its actions. Compare that to how Germany has dealt with its Nazi past. Holocaust denial for example AFAIK is prohibited by German law.
I kind of agree with NK, Japan has gotten away with a lot of shit they did during colonization and war. But you can't ask a nation of a new generation to apologies for the older generation.
Seriously? They are banned from having an army I think thats pretty bad.
I hope this isn't real.
I'm afraid not...that is quite real.
Unit 731
That still scares the shit out of me to this day.
I hope this isn't real.
No, they just did it to scare people :downs:
Does Japan still dislike Koreans?
Does Japan still dislike Koreans?
well I am sure there bros with SK but everone hates North Korea

ITT: North Korea makes (for once) a reasonable request, but Facepunchers with little knowledge continue to deny them simply for being the DPRK. Seriously, if Japan had done this shit to any other country, everyone would say "aww, that was so sad, please apologize to them, Japan." This is a rare thing; North Korea is asking something of Japan that they should: a formal apology for the horrible war crimes Japan committed against innocent Koreans.

I don't see anyone asking the British to apologize for colonizing damn near the entire world. We're just denying them simply because it's a stupid request?
If japan apologized to South Korea why not also do it to DPRK? North Korean Hate :bandwagon:
OR... We're just denying them simply because it's a stupid request?
Ugh. It's not a stupid request, quit being an idiot. Japanese committed terrible crimes against Koreans (North and South) that can't go unanswered. If the Japanese had done the same thing to any other country (e.g. Taiwan, China, the Phillipines), an apology would be demanded of Japan on all sides. Just because they're North Korea doesn't make the request stupid. Quit bandwagoning and see that this is a reasonable request from the North Koreans for once. If blacks can ask for reparations for their ancestors 150 years ago being forced into slavery, beaten, whipped, and lynched, then I think it's okay for North Koreans to ask for an apology for being raped, beaten, tortured, hanged, mutilated, massacred, gassed, tested on, etc.
What are you talking about? I'm pretty sure the atrocities of the USSR are well known.
Nope. The attention given to the Holocaust blinded people from seeing Stalin's atrocities up until recently.
Seriously this is just fucking sickening. Every person who was in that army should be found and hung.

We may as well have a big circle jerk committee where every country and every nation goes around an apologizes for things their predecessors did to each other, because everywhere in human history you will find one group of people subjugating another group of people. But we don't have one of those, because it's a big fucking waste of time, and an apology doesn't bring back the lives or take away the pain and suffering of those people. If you think Japan should apologize for something that the current people of Japan had fucking nothing do with, fine. But NK can't demand shit.
Nope. The attention given to the Holocaust blinded people from seeing Stalin's atrocities up until recently.
If you are talking about Stalin's treatment of political enemies in the Gulags, the harsh Soviet responses to rebellions behind the Iron Curtain, the bloody fighting between Russians and Germans, the containment of East Berliners, and who knows how many people captured, tortured, and killed by the Communist regime, then yes, people know a lot about the atrocities committed by Stalin. We're talking about most North Koreans' parents/grandparents. It's just something out of respect and a show of kindness for the Japanese government to issue a formal apology. Of course they don't have to, but a productive government might consider it.
got dam
You think that's bad? Sure it's horrid, but two commanders made a sport of, "Killing Mongrels" during the invasion of China. You may ask... What did they do? Well. They made a competition to see who could bayonet 200 women, and children the quickest during an invasion of an unarmed city. Take that up for size, and come back to me.
This isn't about who committed the worst war crime Joe.
The Japanese also enslaved 10 million Chinese and had a record to see who could behead the most civilians. All the war crimes from nations who participated in WW1-WW2 are here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_war_crimes [editline]01:41PM[/editline]
I hate the fact that everyone ignores the crimes that Stalin and the USSR did to the Eastern European countries during WW2. And now everyones jacking off about anything USSR. It's like a huge fuck you to anyone who suffered from those vile fucktards.
They were our allies, of course they got away with a lot of their war crimes because the victors of war write history. That, and the Soviets covered up a lot of their war crimes and most of them were only released when the Soviet Union itself collapsed. By that time no one gave a shit.
I hope this isn't real.
It's not real. Just a reënactment.
