something tells me daniel m doesnt like apple
That might be true, but why are you rating every one of his posts in this thread dumb? Surely not because you don't share the same opinion.
If he says something that is empirically wrong, refute it, otherwise you're not doing anything useful.
I wish apple would let me pre order early :p
I had 2 wait at the store for like 4 hours to get my iPhone 5 XD
Honestly, I hate the fact that to customize your own device, you need to void your warranty, and this is for both Android AND iOS. It's not as big of a problem with the Android, since they do give you a lot of freedom out of the box, but you can't do everything the device is capable of without rooting.
But, what puts the icing on the cake is that Apple tried to make jailbreaking illegal, at least in the US
Only certain customization options require root access on android. You can still use different launchers and such which have plenty of different thrmes
Custom lock screen

No root required
Don't give me that backpedaling subjective opinion bullshit.
Android has features that iOS has lacked for the last 5 years and they're still playing catch up. Maybe 2-3 years from now they'll be caught up to a poorly implemented version of ICS 4.0 in regards to features and hardware support but by then, we'll be running 6.0+
If this is regarding the notification centre, who cares?
Also, not everyone wants a phone to boot up a new ROM or make extensive changes, some people like it simple, they like a phone that works
Android devices suffer from lag and performance issues, now don't get me wrong I applaud google for trying their best in defeating this problem, my nexus 7 handles it incredibly well but I still notice from time to time android lag
iPhones (and windows phones) are well optimized and can do shit faster than Androids, while Android is way more open I think most people just want a phone, not a super all in one customizable device
I spent 2 hours yesterday tweaking my S3 because I wanted to and enjoyed it

Forget to take your meds :\?
yeah i hate it when technology gets new, better iterations :'( windows 98 4 lyf
I was joking but I guess sarcasm doesn't work over the net.

What.
I love my iPhone 5, cant wait for the iPhone 7 either.

And you can still do alot of that on iPhone, just takes more effort.

you definitely need some sort of sarcasm indicator like this guy -> :downs:
also christ Daniel M what the fuck is your problem why can't people enjoy things you don't like

this is exactly why I have an iPhone. I don't care about ROMs. I don't care about widgets. I just want to know where to go to call, text, browse the web, play games. Sure, Android does all this stuff too, but I've been burned with shitty hardware in the past and I just wanted something that I knew was reliable.
Snip
Did an iPhone kill your whole family or something?
Holy shit, pull that tree branch out your ass and just accept that not everybody wants to root their phone and flash custom firmware to it.

It actually did kill my family, stop being insensitive
:v:
I remember when Apple was for hipster tech people, now Apple just appeals to the typical american middle-class. People are like sheep, and once apple gets enough money, they'll take over the world. Everything will be white; water, food, clothes, etc. Tim Cook will be the new dictator of the world. Basically, it'll be the half-life 2 universe, except absolutely everything is white.
Duckfaces will be happy.
Seriously though - I think people still keep buying them not because of the super updated software or functionality but mostly to show - "look, I have a latest iphone and you don't"
ios is for the people that aren't into customization and want their device to do what they need with some apps installed and nothing else. they are fine with apple's decisions.
android is for the crowd that wants to be able to do things their way and to have more device variety.
windows phone is for people that actually use their device for communication.
all three operating systems are meant for different people and none of them is better or worse. it all depends on the person buying the phone.

...you know you can get an Android and not customize it too, I know plenty of people who have one and haven't really messed with it :v:
and jesus christ I'm not that big of a fan of iPhones but some people in these thread legitimately do act like an iPhone killed their whole family in front of them
I love the iPhone but they need to innovate with it again, iPhone 5 was super disappointing and I'm pretty sure it didn't sell as well as the 4S
I have a 4 and a 5, And in all honesty, I liked the 4 better... The 5 feels too light and flimsy.
and iphones can be jailbroken and customized too
i dunno, that's just how i see it
if somebody is tech illiterate i just wouldn't recommend them an android

My mom can't figure out how to copy paste on her windows 7 laptop and she can use an Android (mostly) fine. She actually finds it easier to use than my brother's iPhone (4S) :v:
People usually get used to one thing and then everything else seems complicated. You have to understand how affordability works. If you pick up a camera, they generally work like every other camera in basic function. You pick it up, press the button on top to take a photo and this carries for pretty much every camera. But if you go from one smartphone to another smartphone on another OS, everything is in a different place and done in a different way
well it all depends on the person
If you don't feel like you want to customize your homescreen, don't. Pretty much any modern Android phone is more than usable for the average consumer and from my perspective, I find it much more easy to use since you don't have to dick around with iTune syncing and honestly, go into iPhone settings. It's a cluster fuck.

Also I've noticed it's always the same people rating my posts dumb without any explanation. Let me redirect you guys to a website that applauds Apple cock sucking

they are rating your posts dumb because you are just continuing to insult apple in every fucking thread
[editline]4th January 2013[/editline]
also iphones have more polished apps than android
it's just a more polished experience in general
you are less likely to fuck up in ios than in android
that's why people buy iphones
honsetly just let them be
[editline]4th January 2013[/editline]
androids still have problems with smoothness
you can solve them with tweaks but the average consumer just doesn't want to bother, and it makes sense why
let them be

i have a nexus 7 with stock android 4.2 and it takes like 3 seconds for it to rotate or open an app
and browsing on it is laggy
Welp, better hold out on that iPhone 5 purchase.
the amount of time it takes my nexus to rotate is stupid, iOS does it instantly and so does Windows
Google may of made project butter to help defeat lag but boy they're still far far away
also android still has sound lag issues which makes it a bad option for music editing
now, i have no idea why people would edit music on their phones, but some would, and android isn't an option for them
I-devices are like wii's and Android devices are like PC's.
I swear to god I hate every damn thing about Apple products.
Also anyone complaining about Android lag should check this out....going to try it out soon. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987032&nocache=1
I don't see why people argue so much about Android vs iOS. They both have their ups and downs.
Android:
+ Better customization
+ So much more open which is a really big plus
+ Usually better spec wise
+ Can get a phone in pretty much whichever size you want/ price range
+
- Usually if it's not a flagship phone or google one you will very rarely get more than a update
- App selection can be pretty poor at times, talking about quality as well
- Piss poor amount of apps are properly designed for tablets
iOS
+ For the most part user experience is much more smooth
+ Quite a few apps are brillinatly designed where you just can't get a good substitute on android
+ Tablet app optimization is actually pretty stellar and for the most part they use screen real estate well
+ It has a great selection of accessory (slightly hindered right now because of the connector change)
+ You'll be sure to know your device will be supported for at least a couple of years
- The homescreen is now seriously outdated and could do with a good few tweaks to make it a better experience.
- Lack of customization.
- very closed platform, which has it's ups and downs
Pretty sure their the main points of each. Personally I have a Android phone and tablet but for a few years I did use iPhone and iPad and I still think iPad is a brillant device and has so many stellar apps. I still wouldn't go back to them though but for some people it's a perfect fit for them.
