LTE not being hidden depends on your carrier and your device actually, I've ran into several phones that had it hidden/locked/whatever. You're a cinematographer? Use a goddamn camera. You know, a professional one. Don't nitpick about a $300 phone not being up to your "standards" as a cinematographer. There's a difference between 18 hours of "usage" and 5-6 hours of screen on time. I doubt you got anywhere near the 5 hour mark. If you did, you probably GPS/NFC/4G/everything turned off and your screen at the lowest brightness setting.
I'm not saying I'd use it. I'm commentating on it's quality compared to other phones. Considering what you can do to iphone footage though, i wouldn't be surprised. More than 7 hours of screen time. Yes, why would I have things I have no need of turned on when I don't need them? Yes, at night and in low light environments why be on high brightness?
Screenshot or it didn't happen. Also, go onto XDA and post that screenshot because the highest I've seen on the Note 2 with things turned on is 6 hours using stock kernel/ROM, which also has 1000mAh than my Nexus 4. I thought it was 2500mAh but it turns out that the Note 2 packs a 3100mAh battery while my Nexus 4 only carries 2100mAh. Hardly comparable. Even with the LTE drain.
I've seen you state before that it runs everything at 60fps which isn't true since I use one every day and it clearly doesn't, so forgive me but I'm very skeptical of when you say something works great.
I'm pretty sure I linked to something that said that but stated I don't know for certain as I have no method of measuring it. However, ICS was pretty smooth and Jelly Bean is even smoother so honestly at this point I'm putting the claims down to the kind of people that say you can't enjoy PC games unless it's on a monitor with MINIMUM 120hz refresh rate and 200 FPS :v: ...I don't even know who to rate dumb anymore, people are saying stupid shit left right and centre.
Daniel M, seriously, i thought that fucking apple fan boys were bad. Just shut up already and let people use what they want, as long as it does the job correctly for the person its a good phone right?

Just shut up already and let people use what they want, as long as it does the job correctly for the person its a good phone right?
Well the thing is, it doesn't do the job correctly for the people. That's why so many people jailbreak their phones. That's why so many people have to install third party apps to complete simple tasks. That's my entire point.

I could buy two of my Nexus 4's for your one iPhone or Note 2. Not sure why I would want to, but I could. Also it has a 1000mAh bigger battery and don't tell me that's because it's 0.7 inches bigger screen than my phone. Android didn't even have a stopwatch built in until 4.2.

My mum's iPhone 4S does everything she wants and needs it to do, my Samsung Galaxy S does everything I need it to do, mind you a bit slowly which is why im getting a nexus 4.
Android didn't even have a stopwatch built in until 4.2.
Apparently that invalidates everything I have said throughout 3 threads. Well said Kaabii.

First question, does she work? Second question, if so, is it a demanding job or is it something like retail? Third question, has she ever connected it to a computer to grab or drop files off or onto her device? Last question, is your mum tech-savvy and if so, why did she get the iPhone over something much more technically capable in both real world usage and just in the "I can because I can" way?
also why have I never seen restraunts using androids for ordering software but always iphones?
i'm running 4.2 and barely use a single default app.
uh, 4 months ago. running 4.3 like i said earlier and you've now proved you've ignored my posts and points against your argument so whatever.
Hm, I'd love to run this 4.3 you speak of. All of us Android enthusiast/custom ROM-running peasants are still running 4.2.1 at the moment.

She has a usb stick and external hard drive for the rather large files that her company requires. She got an iPhone because that is what suited her best at the time, and still serves her well in what she needs it for. Oh, and she needs something with a decent battery life, as most of the time she isnt near a power outlet or at a computer
Hm, I'd love to run this 4.3 you speak of. All of us Android enthusiast/custom ROM-running peasants are still running 4.2.1 at the moment.
custom ROMS??? I thought default was good enough
Hm, I'd love to run this 4.3 you speak of. All of us Android enthusiast/custom ROM-running peasants are still running 4.2.1 at the moment.
He probably meant 4.0.3 or just missed the key and hit a 3 instead of a 2 for 4.2. You're grasping at straws. Do you want to start using spelling errors as arguments now as well? You're like a satire of an Android fanboy. It's so unbelievable, I can't stop watching this thread because of how mind blowing it is to see everything you post.
also why have I never seen restraunts using androids for ordering software but always iphones?
Uh, because they're restaurants and see what's "in" and spend exorbitant amounts of money to be "in" themselves. Just like why does the government buy the most expensive iPads for their employees when all they're doing is editing word documents? It's not an argument.

And yes, 4.2.
custom ROMS??? I thought default was good enough
Not buying into your trolling bullshit. I meant default applications and you know it. I run ParanoidAndroid because I like the stock feel and the tablet UI. I could easily go back to stock and not miss a single thing.

I really don't think it's necessary to start questioning whether his mom is worthy of judging phones.
Neither is anything you've said.
According to your iBuddies. All twelve of you. Doesn't mean much.

My dad works does logistics for an oil company, and my mum is a book keeper. My parents have only synced their music and a few TV shows, never transferring any of their files, both use dropbox. Both my mother and my father are very technology literate. They both got iPhones as the app ecosystem is better, they perform better than android phones, the features are more fleshed out and easier to use with less diddling, the quality of apple support, and build quality.
According to your iBuddies. All twelve of you. Doesn't mean much.
I case you haven't noticed there aren't that many people on your side of the argument.
Dude just stop, the iPhone has it's list of problems but it's not a bad phone. I really don't think it's necessary to start questioning whether his mom is worthy of judging phones.
Just pointing out that most mums would not know what to do with it if they had one. If I handed a phone to my mum right now, I'd show her how she could navigate using voice, browse the web, control XBMC through the app and she'd say "that's nice, but can I make phone calls and text with it?" That's the majority of consumers for you. Yeah, it might do everything the "average person needs" but we're on a online forum discussing technology. I'm not going to be told "it's a matter of opinion" when looking at feature list vs feature list.
According to your iBuddies. All twelve of you. Doesn't mean much.
Wow clever. Ill defend good tech when I experience it, my very right to, just like you have a right to trash something you have less first hand experience with. People here don't give a shit if someone trash talks a phone, just when it's so blind and belligerent and impossible to reason with its going to be easier to just dumb you and hope that's enough
