I was worried I was the only one who thought of this.
I feel bad for those kids. Having to see those images at a young age can really scar you.
I saw my dad watching gay porn when i was like 5, and i turned out fine. It really ain't that bad.
Don't films that are "adult" and graphic in nature usually have trailers for similar movies before the actual film starts?
I assume people may have thought something was wrong when the trailers weren't all love and sunshine.
Hahaha, classic!
I saw my dad watching gay porn when i was like 5, and i turned out fine. It really ain't that bad.
everyone reacts differently. just because YOU (one person) turned out fine doesn't mean everyone else is going to.
Instead of just sitting there seeing that it's actually a live-performance film, can't they just...leave?
I mean, if you actually see the fucking difference between a cartoon and a live film, then why do you let your kids stay there to watch the movie?
Parents: "No honey, we paid to see this god damn movie, we are staying and watching it."
Kid: "But mom-"
Parents: "WE ARE WATCHING THIS GOD DAMN MOVIE!!!! DGSDGSHDGDHSGHDG"
How do you make that mistake? Don't cinemas have HUGE rolls of film rolled up on a big table still? You can't just move and replace those in a few minutes
Haha, this reminds of when my lil bro asked me to get him toy story for his sleepover, and I gave hime the exorcist instead.
You sir, are brilliant.
Yeah, if you're a pusfaggotsy.
How long it take you to come up with that one?
Parents need to man up their kids.
ha
something similar happened at the theater where I work, back when Hotel for Dogs was out. That one got switched with Valkyrie, which opens with a bunch of people getting shot.
Our projectionist literally screamed "EVERYTHING IS GOING WROOONG" over the radio
Why did I read that in Zoidberg's voice?
Parents are idiots these days, they could've just walked out, and honestly, would kids be traumatized for that long? I remember watching my first scary movie when i was 9, i couldn't sleep for a night but after that i was fine.
Yeah, if you're a pusfaggotsy.
man whatever silence of the lambs and hannibal still creep me the fuck out

Honestly, I think I would be a little creeped out if some random horror movie showed instead of what I payed for
I feel bad for those kids. Facepunch thinks its funny to scare kids. I wish everyone here on FP were turned into 5 year old brats and were forced to watch horror movies.
Nightmares 4 lyfe
those poor children :ohdear:
having to watch such a godawful film for ten minutes would be very traumatizing
This reminds me of when I saw Hostel in theaters. This women had her 6 year old son with her, and she kept having to cover his eyes because he would freak out every time something gorey happened.
I once saw a woman bring her 4 year old into one of the SAW movies. Terrible parent. Kid was fucking crying through the whole movie and eventually took him out.
Does it make me a bad person that I laughed for several minutes upon reading this?
the first and second were the best ones
from there it went downhill
Eh, for me, the first Saw didn't cut it, and the rest were hacks.
It happens to us all in one way or another. I myself was exposed to lemon party when I was 10 or so.

i saw budd dwyer shoot himself when i was 9
i am fine
Obviously you know a lot about scaredfagology. Only a little bitch would get scared, when I was 10 I was fucking all the girls at school and watching saw all the time. These guys need to man up.
No you wasn't, you fat nerd.
lol
traumatized children
i saw budd dwyer shoot himself when i was 9

according to you
Yeah got to be hard to tell the difference between this and an animated kids movie. Parents probably sat through the whole thing with the kids going "That wasn't how it looked in the trailer. Mmmh..."
I haven't seen the movie but usually you get a title. I'd just walk out of the movie with my kids when I realize its not the one I wanted to see. Why sit there and wait for them to correct the mistake, keeping their eyes covered?
You weren't actually there. you don't know how anyone reacted to this mistake, just what you can read in the source. Your pretty dense if you read everything as solid fact.
I imagine some parents probably laughed about it, some probably got angry, left or made a fuss and some kids there were probably no stranger to horror movies anyway and just waited for them to change it.
sentences like "The children were told to cover their eyes as cinema bosses tried to correct their mistake." this are just an illustration of the incident, it's not like "cover your eyes" was the cinemas only solution while they changed the film over
