I'll make sure to watch this.
I'll make sure to watch this.
We should make a counter of all the times it says any word relating to Revolutionary or general praise.
So they interviewed people about Steve Jobs death months in advance? That's kind of fucked up if. They have to go out and do everything fresh because his death just happened. [editline]11th October 2011[/editline] You're wrong. It was all Wozniak.
No, this episode pretty much going to be having been worked on since the day he died, maybe not with adam and jamie, but people would have had the ball rolling.

That's what I said. I was responding towards you when you said that people worked on it months in advance.
Um. That's what I said. I was responding towards you when you said that people worked on it months in advance.
that's how the average mythbusters show would be filmed, which I thought was your original point. though, to be perfectly honest, I'm fairly certain the media companies would have been talking about this for a few months now since he took a turn.
If you all want to learn a bit more about the founding of Microsoft and Apple. I'd suggest watching "Pirates of Silicon Valley". Take it about as loosely as "The Social Network" though, the events are true but the personalities are a bit skewed.
Why are they idolizing this man? Another case of Edison v Tesla. We need more Teslas yet our culture loves Edisons.
He was a very influential man in the computer industry. Whether or not you like Apple, its products, or some of the things Jobs did, you can't deny he was a smart man and pretty interesting. I don't see a reason not to give him some attention. If you're comparing it to Edison vs Tesla, who is Tesla?
They couldn't have wait for a month or two before creating a biography documentary about Steve Jobs
He was a very influential man in the computer industry.
Why?
I think a better questions is "why Mythbusters?" It honestly seems like a bit of a random decision to me.

The only reason why people know who Wozniak is in this generation is because of Dancing with the stars. It's fucking terrible.
I think a better questions is "why Mythbusters?" It honestly seems like a bit of a random decision to me.
One of them was an early adapter to the iPad (and said so himself). It seemed like he was quite proud of it. I assume an Apple fan?
Tesla was a super genius who was cranking out deathrays. Edison stole shit from Tesla and claimed it as his own. Seems appropriate.
I know who Tesla is, I'm asking who he was referring to in his metaphor.
The only time Jobs actually did anything was when he worked at Atari
Can there be a middle ground between him being a god and him being an asshole who profited other peoples work and did none of his own? Unless you have proof that he fucked people over that is.
I think a better questions is "why Mythbusters?" It honestly seems like a bit of a random decision to me.
These two make a pair of good hosts
I take it they're going to bust Steve Jobs and show the world how he stole someone else's idea all the time?
You're wrong. It was all Wozniak.
No, I actually have got to give him a bit of credit but it was still mostly Wozniak He (though Wozniak did basically all of the real work) helped design a circuit board that used a smaller amount of chips. He fucked over Wozniak again though, the president of Atari gave Jobs $7000 for designing the board and Jobs was supposed to split it with Wozniak and instead he actually told Wozniak that he only got $700 and he gave Wozniak only $350.
Jobs returned to Atari and was given the task of creating a circuit board for the game Breakout. According to Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell, Atari offered $100 for each chip that was eliminated in the machine. Jobs had little interest in or knowledge of circuit board design and made a deal with Wozniak to split the bonus evenly between them if Wozniak could minimize the number of chips. Much to the amazement of Atari, Wozniak reduced the number of chips by 50, a design so tight that it was impossible to reproduce on an assembly line. According to Wozniak, Jobs told Wozniak that Atari gave them only $700 (instead of the offered $5,000) and that Wozniak's share was thus $350.
Read about in a book about Atari also. [editline]11th October 2011[/editline]
Unless you have proof that he fucked people over that is.
Is this enough proof for you?
They don't really strike me as the kind of people to host a documentary about someone who has recently died. You need someone who can be deep and talk slowly whilst looking ultra serious the entire time.
I'm more excited about the new movie Sony is making. The book of Steve Jobs that will be released soon is going to be filmed. [editline]11th October 2011[/editline] Also he did changed alot, since the upcoming of the iPad and iPhone there suddenly was a burst of products in the same line from other company's
I think a better questions is "why Mythbusters?" It honestly seems like a bit of a random decision to me.
It's probably a mix of them liking Apple products, as well as people being fans of them. It seems a lot of people who wouldn't watch it with other hosts, are now going to watch it because they are hosts.
Not sure how I feel about this. I love Mythbusters and the crew that does the show, but I never liked Steve Jobs (No offence to anyone here, but I just never liked him. Sue me). Dunno how I feel about my favourite band of mythbusting explosion makers doing a documentary on someone I didn't like at all.
People do seem to forget, that his company did screw over a lot of people.
I don't like Steve Jobs, and I think all this attention over his death is unwarranted. I mean, what kind of asshole abandons his daughter and forces her and her mother to live off of welfare while he makes millions? Amoung other dick moves. Just because of that I can't like the man.
okay yeah he sounds like a dick
That stuff better damn be in the documentary and/or movies...
I love mythbusters
Maybe they'll put in a warning "WARNING: This guy was actually a huge dick. Do not idolize him in anyway. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program."
Steve Jobs needs a documentary?
I think a better questions is "why Mythbusters?" It honestly seems like a bit of a random decision to me.
Maybe they just really wanted to?
