What annoys me about things like this is that homosexuals want to be treated as if they are no different from anyone else, but then you have things like this that aim to make them stand out.
What annoys me is that people think gays are already treated the same way as everyone else and that things like pride marches are done to elevate gays above others as opposed to simply introduce mainstream society to them.
Homosexual people are to good for our straight classes. Hell, why not give them Homo toilets, homo cars and homo homes while we are at it.
How bout homo camps while we are at it.
How bout homo camps while we are at it.
They already got those
What annoys me is that people think gays are already treated the same way as everyone else and that things like pride marches are done to elevate gays above others as opposed to simply introduce mainstream society to them.
Yeah, I still get called names and bad looks when I simply walk around in the mall with my boyfriend. This is a good thing.
The fact that you just compared gay people to pedophiles means you aren't worth our fucking time responding to. Leave.
So, all pedophiles are bad people, rather than just a group much maligned by society? You monster! Get out! E: Also, you're all failing to answer my questions. Should we give this treatment for every minority group in the world? Why should a undue specificity be placed on a minority group?
Yeah, I still get called names and bad looks when I simply walk around in the mall with my boyfriend. This is a good thing.
Sounds like you need a second boyfriend, for protection.
E: Also, you're all failing to answer my questions. Should we give this treatment for every minority group in the world? Why should a undue specificity be placed on a minority group?
if the same treatment is applied to everyone then there's no undue specificity, now is there? this isn't giving gay people special attention, this is giving the same attention to gay people that straight people automatically receive in the classroom.
I'm all for gay rights and such but this does seem rather odd
if the same treatment is applied to everyone then there's no undue specificity, now is there? this isn't giving gay people special attention, this is giving the same attention to gay people that straight people automatically receive in the classroom.
But you can't apply the treatment to everyone, can you. Aside from that, normal classes don't have special attention for straight people. When I'm in history/english/whatever, we're not focusing on straight achievements. We're focusing on achievements - full stop. That's how it should be.

Lots of history involving gays may even have been destroyed by rulers of the past. It'll never be equal history because its already been for the most part written by the majority.
i say fund education and then they do this i ask, wry
i say fund education and then they do this i ask, wry
Not qualified to comment.

It's not that big of a deal guys. But I do see why it is pointless, but so are things like Black History month. So stop complaining. [editline]27th January 2011[/editline]
you people are massively overreacting, calm the fuck down
Yeah seriously this. Stop overreacting and throwing out how your disgusted and find this stupid. This is not a big deal. At all.
"James puts his weiner at a 35 degree angle to stick it in Franko, the two are 35 centimetres away from each other. What is the tangent of the angle?"
tan35 = 0.70021 you didn't think this through
Well this is pointless
The language one is fair enough and I don't see why the hell not and the Geography one seems like it would be pretty interesting. But the others are just entirely bloody pointless. Sexuality doesn't exactly seem like it would come up in a maths question whether it's gay or straight and statistics stuff is usually fictional information about banks and values. Last time I checked gay people didn't have to use separate banks.
Missed the point entirely... and it's not like you couldn't think of a million math problems that are used that do involve sexuality.
Nope, can't think of a single one. Unless the number one is supposed to represent a penis and eight a pregnant woman?
Nope, can't think of a single one. Unless the number one is supposed to represent a penis and eight a pregnant woman?
it's not even about that, for christs sake I've said this about 5 times in this thread. It'll be like as opposed to just "Billy and Jane purchased a house for £X" there will also be "Billy and Mark purchased a house for £X"
Homosexual people are to good for our straight classes. Hell, why not give them Homo toilets, homo cars and homo homes while we are at it.
The Prius already exists.
We just have Billy or Jane.
As far as I've seen, story problems are pointlessly ambiguous like that.
