That's all fine in History and Science...but Math and Geography? Really?
the article explains the reasoning. "Gay areas" of cities can be used as an example of the movement of demographics in geography class, and in math class it's probably just saying "John and his husband" instead of "wife" in intros to applied math questions.

i mean this is really benign, harmless stuff
I have a question!
If a gay sexual preference can be taught and school, can we teach bondage, and bestiality too while were at it? :eng101:
How about incest?
How about incest?
Yeah, that too!

those aren't sexual preferences they are fetishes. so no. idiot.
those aren't sexual preferences they are fetishes. so no. idiot.
No, idiot.
If you like other men, you have a fetish for men.
Also, I know I'm probably gonna get banned for being homophobic, but I mean, this should not be taught.
No, idiot.

No you're dumb
a form of sexual desire in which gratification depends to an abnormal degree on some object or item of clothing or part of the body
It may seem harmless. Heck, it probably is, but that's not going to stop parents from complaining. If I remember right, Parents complained when a TV commercial in Europe showed a Homosexual couple.
No you're dumb
And you'd know so well
And you'd know so well
Dictionaries obviously know better than you.
No you're dumb
Object in question: Another man's anus.

Who knows better than a fucking dictionary?
Object in question: Another man's anus.
You said men in general, not a part of a man.
Liking women's feet is considered a fetish but liking women is not.

So, you think that small children should be taught about sexual preference?

A gay person may say that sticking your dick in a vagina is a 'fetish' because they don't do vags, its all about the ass
So I suppose you could put it either way...
So, you think that small children should be taught about sexual preference?
About the fact that some people are sometimes attracted to the same sex rather than the opposite, yes. (read: tell them that people can choose who they love, freely, and that they should never feel ashamed for that) To do otherwise is to instill bigotry at a young age.
No one is saying we teach young children about the mechanics of the relationship, but yes we are saying to tell them about the emotional aspects.

Not every gay person likes anal sex, you know.
Object in question: Another man's anus.
What is it with homophobes and this obsession with gay sex. A relationship with a woman is not purely concerned with sex, is it? So why would a relationship with a man be any different?
e: I seriously want an answer, this is befuddling me.

Homosexuality isn't a fetish you knob
and don't worry about getting banned, the mods here rarely ban for even blatant homophobia. You're being subtle

Well whatever, I just don't think it should be taught
Well whatever, I just don't think it should be taught
Why? Defend your ideas. Don't just shit out a disagreeable opinion and leave it at that.
Well whatever, I just don't think it should be taught
Why. Either explain your reasoning or change your viewpoint now as you have not explained your position and have no reason to take it. Not doing one of those two is intellectually lazy.
Either explain your reasoning or change your viewpoint now as you have not explained your position and have no reason to take it.
Lest we consider you trolling, fatman
If this passes, I demand we do this level of focus on every majority and minority group specifically.
Geography – examining the transformation of San Francisco's Castro district in the 1960s from a working-class Irish area to the world's first "gay neighbourhood", and considering why homosexuals move from the countryside to cities;
Languages – using gay characters in role play scenarios, and teaching "LGBT vocabulary"
This all seems to feed off of stereotypes. I don't see how this is helping anyone?
