Honestly, I can't think of any arguments about HL having nothing special, i mean it DOES have the AR2, but that's nothing very big. But even so it doesn't make the game boring, it still has it's storyline and gameplay. I guess it's just your opinion, but i disagree with you. To me Half-life is a great game, although it may not exactly have "special" gameplay, it's still it's own game.
All of his points are true but they mean absolutely nothing. I could reverse it and say those are all good things and they would still mean nothing.
