I still have the same feelings for Half-Life after a decade. I don't see how your statement is true, when I look at today's market, all I see is dumbed down video games for consoles aimed for the teen market. Sure, I can always go, and play Bioshock, but I know System Shock is superior. I don't expect anyone to understand the experience I've been through when I first played Half-Life, and it's expansion packs.

Fallout 3's gameplay was the epitome of awful, to me, Bioshock wasn't very good either, gameplay sucked, and it got repetitive, you hold those games higher than Half Life? You're a joke.

Yeah, sure is. Now, don't get me wrong. I spent like 200 hours in Fallout 3, did almost everything I can. Fallout 3 isn't a good game. It's not because it fails to advance the original series in any way, but as a standalone game it's bad.

As a standalone game it's great. I don't give a shitabout fallout 1 or 2, never played either. I just played 3 and it's the greatest.

Half Life certainly is a bad game currently. It probably was a good game in its day. I played the demo for HL2 when it first game out long time go and I thought it was great. But now I can see that there's really nothing to it gameplay wise.

Hey, I'm a pro at Street Fighter. That's no easy man's game.
And I wouldn't call fallout 3 an easy man's game either. It is pretty forgiving though but I don't mind it too much.
As to the Bioshock series, while the original was basically an excellent story and immersion with breeze-through gameplay, tons of stagnation, downright boring segments and downright un-enjoyable side-mechanics (hacking and camera research), I'd still give it a go.
If only so you're fully prepped when you take on Bioshock 2, which sacrifices length and some story complexity for character development and personal drive 20 times more powerful than the first game. Add to this, overall tightened core-gameplay (wielding plasmids and weapons at once, streamlining hacking and making research less flow-breaking) on top of increased difficulty (carry max of five health kits instead of the original 9) and basically making it fucking FUN. Played through it three times already.

While Bioshock has impressive visuals, it's a mediocre game compared to his ancestor, System Shock. In fact, it's a cheap (dumbed down) rehash of System Shock. Fontaine is a also a joke compared to Shodan - he's a weak character, antagonist.
