I wasted my money on this. And now I feel filthy having read this.
Pass the popcorn
The devs are so screwed

You have my sympathies. When navigating the Steam games list, helps to have a map. Thankfully with the Tags system we now have such a map. Kinda.
It still requires folks to "take the bullet" in regards to experiencing the titles, though.

It sure does help to have a map.
And then a werewolf breaks down the door of TB's house and clips through his face. That's all it does because they didn't have the budget or talent to put a damage entity on the wolf.
Also, this is going to make for quite the topic on the Co-Optional Podcast. That's assuming FUN Creators don't send glitchy werewolves after Dodger and Jesse and whoever the guest is this time.

Ask your money back on steam, There's tons of reasons you can come up with.
These idiot's shouldn't get a single penny
If they were a "big bad company" they probably could, best part is they aren't even big- just bad
Even if they're small, I'm certain they don't deserve to be able to pull a Double Helix like Edge of Reality.
I remember those "FUN creators" being active in the greenlight developer forum an about year ago.

Telling and asking about that their greenlight campaign hasn't been succesful and how to get more votes :v:
Also worth pointing out that TB recently had one of his worst mental/stress breakdowns recently and opened up on how he's been doing. He hides a lot of his private life except for some stuff through Genna.

Worth reading to get an idea of what goes through the mind of someone in his position. I know the thoughts, but not the intensity. I only have 7500 subscribers and only a few cunts who piss me off. He has tens of thousands. Nerd^3 also did a post recently saying how he gets deaththreats from people when he doesn't like a popular game and such. And while it might seem a joke from the viewers point of view you can only ignore it for so much.
This is one reason TB hasn't been tweeting much unless it's needed to keep his feed informed.
tbh so much of the youtube community needs to get over itself and get over the fact that there's always going to be a really mental and vocal minority of die-hard crazy fans and people who hate your guts for stupid reasons
imagine if people in bands n stuff googled themselves every day and actively tried to personally respond to all of their criticism? they'd never get anything done
people with this many fans and followers need to let their content do the talking for them and ignore all the mentalists

You can only grow such a thick skin. Eventually it will get to you. As TB said, its 'death by a thousand paper cuts'

That's what happens with new media. Being connected and exposed to millions of people opens up this kind of stuff.
Also mooselord's right about the "you can only grow so thick a skin". Even the thickest of skin can be cut by a sharp enough blade or bruised by a hefty enough whack with a war-hammer. In that regard, when thick skin is not enough, you need armour. Something with shock-absorbant padding and hard plating, though in regards to dealing with negative comments, TB has to focus on evasion rather than tanking every blow like some hybrid of man and industrial freezer, and thus he distanced himself from most community interaction. In fact, I dunno if we even have the psychological equivalent of plate armour yet, let alone power armour. You'd probably need to go through hardcore psychological conditioning for the thousand paper cuts to feel like a gentle breeze, and even then it'd probably damage other parts of your psyche.
I have a YouTube extension that hides YouTube comments
PR Suicide. It's astonishing to see how unprofessional some people are.

Reading about it makes me really interested what it'd feel like. Maybe I should become internet famous.
I imagine for most folks it would probably destroy them.

i dunno every celebrity on the planet manages to do it tho? don't get me wrong i can totally understand how hard it must be but i think there has to be a point where you've got literally a million youtube subscribers and you say "hey, i just gotta keep on doing what i'm doing and ignore all the thousands of emails and twitter comments i get a day that say i'm an asshole"
I've put some thought into it, and I think I understand FUN Creators' ruse, now.
F is for Fire that burns down the whole town,
U is for Uranium...BOMBS!
N is for No survivors, down here in the games industry!
I think it's because they either ignore it all completely or they have meat shields to screen their emails. I think TB has Genna and Zooc to do that, but sometimes he ends up doing it himself because, apparently, he gets a rush from it according to one of his recent soundcloud recordings. But the presence of negative stuff apparently ruins that particular high and brings him crashing down.

That probably covers the thing. (did someone else post the recording here already?)
Wow these guys suffer some serious case of unwarranted self importance.
actually hilarious.

The kind of people who send death threats over video games are probably so fucking pathetic they couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag, never mind actually kill someone.
That kinda shit doesn't work in the Information Age. New media is just too strong.
I've never even fucking heard of "FUN" ever in my life
I'd say they're much smaller than total biscuit
especially since they need to compensate for their size by "feathering up" to one man

They're just man children acting tougher than they really are. All bark no bite.
I looked at their Steam forums and this is hilarious, they don't even care:

[sp] Not really though[/sp]
We'll see how much they care when they're being sued out the eyeballs and having their skulls polished.

To quote Metalocalypse: "They say there's no such thing as bad publicity, but l happen to think you can do yourself a disservice."
How in the world did they take the warning about what happened over Garry's Incident as a threat? It's not remotely a threat, TB has no control over his fan base. If the devs do something so atrociously stupid it's mostly the fan base that has an effect. Unless they're doing all of this on purpose thinking that somehow it will get them more sales in the end.
