Yeah I don't think this is going to actually happen I'm moreso talking from a purely hypothetical force-vs-force standpoint. [editline]28th January 2017[/editline] Where nukes aren't part of the picture.
well good thing their policy would not let them launch nukes unless we step foot on their land from invasion.
They wouldn't do it at all because that is the only time china would launch a fucking tactical nukes at our ships, They have a no-first use policy only for defense. so yeah Mattis would not allow that.
With Trump in power, the first moment China fires "a fucking tactical nuke" at, of all things, a boat, the fuhrer will wipe Beijing off the map with radioactive fire.
With Trump in power, the first moment China fires "a fucking tactical nuke" at, of all things, a boat, the fuhrer will wipe Beijing off the map with radioactive fire.
not just the one boat, the whole navy that is near china, but that is only if we invade their land.
america would never win a land war against china its like invading afghanistan or sending an army on moscow
US, UK, Russia are the Axis Europe, China & Canada are the Allies
i'd like to defect to the axis
'Canada' Canada will follow in the U.S footsteps whatever happens, I doubt it. Also this, honestly sounds like fearmongering and nothing more, China has talked big like this for years.
If the US declares war on China, I guaruntee they will not join in on their side. Our governments right now are fundamentally opposed to each other on a number of issues.
Where would the war be fought? What would realistically start it?
If China wanted to start a full-scale war, they would probably attack any pacific cities. Namely Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Portland, or Seattle. There's also Hawaii and Alaska, but a bit too far apart when you could just attack the area with the most military and civilians. I'm gonna remain skeptical but this is sort of worrying considering I live in Los Angeles.
War with China is only a "practical reality" if China decides to declare war on the US or one of its allies. China has been postering and generally acting aggressively in their region long before Trump, their attempt to pass the blame for their own actions and retarded positions ("one china") off on Trump is stupid.
hopefully if we all get through trumps reign of chaos, everybody will go back to lowering tensions. Xi and Putin have been ratcheting up tensions for years now with the backstop of a sane, collected US, now because of that they have a fucking unpredictable, possibly derranged leadership in the US that hasnt only ratcheted up tensions, hes broken the damn wrench
Not sure why everyone thinks a war can only be won by invading China. It's perfectly possible that eliminating their naval and air power would be enough to bring them to the discussion table. Obviously the US will never have an unconditional surrender with an absolute victory - but neither will China over the US.
So when someone mentions the possible end of the country under Trump is it still considered melodramatic hyperbole?
So when someone mentions the possible end of the country under Trump is it still considered melodramatic hyperbole?
Is ever anything off the table with Trump? No. You have your answer.
Yeah it's understandable. We don't know when he will say the wrong thing on Twitter.
It's "understandable" to go to war over a tweet? Or am I reading this wrong?
Becoming practical reality. Mutual assure destruction, Only works when both parties don't want war. I'm worried that china is saying it wants war.
I was always okay with the draft. I was always okay with the thought of standing up for my country if America went to war; if America needed defending. But all my patriotism for this country has been utterly shattered in the last 9 days because of Trump's mishandling of everything, to the point of raising tensions between China and even discussion of war. I'm not going to be drafted for a stupid, pointless conflict from an idiot president. Fuck Trump
I'm worried that china is saying it wants war.
No, a military official, a single individual, commented that the probability of war with USA is greater now during Trump's administration, than during Obama's administration. Why? Because of Trump & Co's harsher statements against China. It doesn't translate to China wanting war.
With Trump in power, the first moment China fires "a fucking tactical nuke" at, of all things, a boat, the fuhrer will wipe Beijing off the map with radioactive fire.
As impossible as war is with China, it IS refreshing to see America take China's cock out of it's mouth over a lot of issues.
As impossible as war is with China, it IS refreshing to see America take China's cock out of it's mouth over a lot of issues.
There are a thousand issues the US can bring up with China, ranging from human rights abuses to the recognition of Taiwan. But the only one Trump has an issue with is our economic ties, which are at this point pretty fundamental to maintain for the US.
"look at how much Trump did in a week, way more than Obama in his 8 years," is already being said and yet the same people are proud of the mess of a man as he unties our foreign relations and causes bigger conflicts.
You are now aware of the fact that many of the people who criticized Obama for making the US the laughing stock of the world, likely voted for Trump.
You are now aware of the fact that many of the people who criticized Obama for making the US the laughing stock of the world, likely voted for Trump.
Obama's win was a massive sigh of relief for the entire planet, considering his republican opposition Just like how Trump's wasn't.
america would never win a land war against china its like invading afghanistan or sending an army on moscow
Getting involved in a land-war in Asia is almost as bad an idea as going in against a Sicilian when death is on the line.
the president can't declare war
This is an act of conflict!
