That's total bullshit. The active cannabinoids in oil are the exact same as in the buds, just more concentrated. If anything oil has the potential to be more 'harmful' (if there was any physical harm in the first place).
When you digest cannabis you liver converts it to a far more potent form: 11-hydroxy-THC. This is why edibles last a lot longer and are more intense. 11-hydroxy-THC is estimated to be about 4-5 times more potent. As far as the concentration argument goes, realize that you don't necessarily need a lot of weed to make potent edibles, it is just that it is difficult to make edibles without making a lot. There aren't really ways of cooking a single brownie. To further show my point, take firecrackers as an example of an edible that get you really baked without a lot of weed.
There is no evidence to show that edibles are more dangerous, if anything they are less risky because they bypass the lungs. They can be problematic when someone doses too much and this is mainly a problem because it takes 30 minutes to digest and start feeling a come up, but this isn't health issue. The primary issue with edibles is the onset, which is quite a negative because it cannot provide instant relief to a patient. But edibles are far better for all day treatment.
Medical marijuana, sure. However, it's not as healthy as you people seem to make it.

No it will cure your blindness and make you grow 2 feet.

Still healthier than most drugs out there.
Legalizing it altogether is the only way to truly see how it would affect if people started smoking it as much as people drink alcohol. If it would affect in things any way, though I have a scratch in my ass that it will, if it gets world wide legalized or so.

Yeah it appears healthy alright, so it's promising plant to say at least.
But the most interesting or "scary" stuff happens deep in your brain when you smoke it.
Not implying anything, but refer to above what I wrote. And if you say we have researched cannabis thoroughly, give me a source. Because I don't think so. And I know the usefulness of it in clothing/etc industry, but your BRAIN

People already do smoke it as much if not more than the amount of alcohol people drink.
Shit, I know people who wake up, smoke a bowl, take a shower with a bowl, eat breakfast, smoke a bowl, go to work, smoke a bowl during lunch, come home, smoke a bowl, go do something while smoking a bowl, smoke a bowl, go to sleep.

Alright, that's one pot smoking individual.
I know people who consider drinking a lifestyle, and they are relatively healthy and they have a job.
But that doesn't mean drinking is entirely safe either, but it's still legal. So if anything, cannabis probably isn't worse than alcohol, if that's what we are concerned about in legalizing it.
We'll see when cannabis gets legalized more world widely. If it turns out only positive thing, then good. But I wouldn't count on that, it's still all fucking magic, lacking for a better word.

There's already been studies that prove that alcohol IS worse than weed. So is tobacco.
There's already been studies that prove that alcohol IS worse than weed. So is tobacco.
Oh I know that.
Tobacco is very harmful over the period of 50 years or so, mainly to your lungs and blood circulation, also carcinogens causing cancer. (Much like in many other things)
Alcohol is harmful over a period of time, to your liver and.. something.
Weed is.. plain damn awesome! whoo! it gets you high in its own way, it's fucking fun, and that is the reason why NOTHING BAD WILL EVER COME OUT OF IT!
Oh and, I'm not opposing of smoking weed or the legalization of it. The plant itself just strikes me as interesting, and we probably don't know all about it, let alone how it affects our brain tissue and brain cells and whatever!
People have been smoking it for literally centuries. If there was some long term effect we would most likely know about it.
2½ ounches every 2 weeks?! Wow that's like 70 grams.
Five grams. Every day. :v:

Not to even mention Arizona has some of the best growing conditions for argiculture if you can find the water.

Yep. I have it for nerve pain. Works great.
You do need quite a bit of money too.

How steep is it? It's been suggested by my doctor all the way here in Alabama that marijuana might not be the worst treatment out there for a certain medical condition I have, especially since I may be moving to California before too long. Are we talking street prices or are they lower?

They are almost basically around the same price range..But also add tax.
It also depends on what kind of weed you get some have more thc etc..
I think they also suggest ones that are reported to work great with the condition you have.
All are highest quality. And at the one I go to they wrap it for me hehe..

I really disagree with the term "healthy" being used in any form of argument as it avoids any indication of frequency and amount, two major factors. Be more specific with your claims. I am assuming that you are trying to say that it isn't a miracle drug and isn't perfect, but nobody [important] is making the argument that it is.
It is actually quite the miracle drug when it comes to cancer and other illnesses. Not in that it cures cancer, but more that the treatments for cancer have so many side effects and the medications used to treat the side effects are ineffective, costly, and also have side effects. Marijuana provides most relief to all of these side effects and has no risk of addiction or overdose making it also incredibly safe.
The fact of the matter is that the negatives of the drug are proven to be minute and temporary even with heavy and long term use.
