I recently saw that, it was literally the worst movie I have ever seen. I'm not even exaggerating, it was really really bad.
Wasn't that bad, imo. Sure it was pretty predictable, but still.
This reminds me of Space Station 13.
What kind of stupid motherfucker seriously makes an already deadly disease worse, then tells everyone he has it, but he miiiiight not let it out???
What kind of stupid motherfucker seriously makes an already deadly disease worse, then tells everyone he has it, but he miiiiight not let it out???
He didn't really 'make it worse' It's not like he inserted stuff that wasn't already there. What he did was set up the most favorable conditions for things like to emerge, and see what happened. It can easily arise naturally, which is why the research is important.
After 10 generations, the virus had mutated to become airborne, which means ferrets became ill from merely being near other diseased animals.
aw SHIT
fuck off and make a cure for cancer you idiots
fuck off and make a cure for cancer you idiots
Gee whiz, why didn't we think of doing this before? Thanks for the advice! Or you know, maybe things like influenza and others are also extremely important for public health.
fuck off and make a cure for cancer you idiots
Get this virus. Death is the best cure for cancer.
Get this virus. Death is the best cure for cancer.
You heartless troll.
Sounds like the Spanish flu, the scariest fucking thing no one remembers
You heartless troll.
Huh, it was never meant as offensive. Sorry for a bad joke.
"However the very same data, if made available to the scientific community, could potentially allow humanity to prepare for an H5N1 pandemic, which Fouchier’s study has shown to be far more probable than was previously believed. Clamping down on freedom of information in the scientific domain may in the end leave us defenseless against the flu, should it arise naturally." This is why they want to publish it so bad, but I'm not sure it's worth the risk.
Publish the recipe?? If they had created something to help humankind, then by all means, publish it! But this? Don't f*cking tell anyone how to make this! We don't need another way to kill people, we have plenty of other ways already!
Sounds like the Spanish flu, the scariest fucking thing no one remembers
This thing gets out and it WILL be the Spanish flu pandemic with a higher rate of fatalities.
I can't wait!
Why are people compelled to create something horrible like this? Not like it's applicable to anything. What the fuck.
what
Why are people compelled to create something horrible like this? Not like it's applicable to anything. What the fuck.
it's applicable to fucking making a vaccine for a flu that's likely to fucking arise by natural evolution in the biosphere and FUCKING KILL EVERYONE
Why are people compelled to create something horrible like this? Not like it's applicable to anything. What the fuck.
Creating a virus can also speed up creation of anti-virus. It's only logical seeing as such mutation could occur in nature and most likely will. It's just that in the wrong hands this virus could be lethal while in the right hands it could save millions.
WHAT THE FUCK Why would you even say, "Yeah we made the deadliest thing ever, it came from this virus" If they made it, someone else can. Why give any clues as to how? Now i'm actually scared.
Reminds me of the 1995 movie Outbreak.
Wasn't that bad, imo. Sure it was pretty predictable, but still.
The acting was horrible, the scene transitions with the text were even shittier than documentaries, and it left so many loose ends that it was painful; Like at the end, when the woman learned that the medicine given to the Chinese children was fake, she went running off and was NEVER SEEN AGAIN.
Well, see as how the 5 necessary mutations are already in the wild and all it took were 10 generations to get them all together, I'm pretty sure we're just jumping the gun and developing a cure before the virus arises naturally in the wild and fucks shit up.

I'm more terrified of Ebola. Ebola Zaire has a fatality of up to 90% along with a bunch of nasty side effects. Fortunately the virus only spreads through fluids. I would think that modifying a strain of Ebola to be airborne would be more terrifying than a modified bird flu strain.
I was actually a little excited when i read the title thinking i could turn into survival mode and live in the forest
We have no intention of using this, that's why we invented it. I guess the UN now has a way to meet their goal for population control if the corn syrup and anime doesn't get us first.
the gist of this is, if we don't make it first, nature will. and then we'll be fucked no matter what happens you either take a very small risk which will pay off in the future if an outbreak occurs, or you just wait for the outbreak to occur without doing anything at all and pray to the lord jesus christ that you get heads in the deadly fucking coin flip that is avian influenza
"Honey I'm home!" "That's great dear! What did you do at work today!" "Oh you know, just created a virus that could possibly one day wipe out half of humanity if someone managed to leak the recipe!" If I was them I would try to find a cure asap then destroy the recipe for the virus.
If I was them I would try to find a cure asap then destroy the recipe for the virus.
what do you think they made the virus for, shits and giggles? no, they made the virus so they could find a cure for it when it pops up in nature
