Give me an objective reason why people shouldn't be able to fuck corpses other than saying that it's gross. Also consent is unlikely but if it is consented that's the scenario I'm looking at. You know what how's it rape when a dead body has no sentience?
You shouldn't be fucking humans with no sentience. Just like you shouldn't fuck a girl passed out at a party. I don't know what else to say. There's not much else to compare it to.
Just like you shouldn't fuck a girl passed out at a party.
Dead bodies don't very often wake up and find out they're pregnant from being raped at that party they should never have gone to oh no their life is ruined forever.

There's not much else to compare it to.
You're pretty much just saying "it shouldn't happen because it's icky", and that's a stupid basis for anything. Yes, there's the issue of consent, but you should say that's the problem rather than "it's just not what you do"
Seriously, to all the people thinking necrophilia is not wrong, I'm sure you will have no problem if a psycho unburies your mother after she dies and fucks her up the ass. Otherwise, you are being fucking hypocrites.
As I see it the main reason necrophilia is so bad is that it causes distress amongst relatives and other people. Take those people out of the equation and there's nothing inherently 'harmful' about it. I don't see what consent has to do with anything

I don't know why this should be any different.
The same arguments are used against lowering the age of consent a couple of years. I don't know why this should be any different.
What's wrong with a lower age of consent?

The only point people are trying to make is that the idea of corpse desecration being considered a crime toward the dead person themselves is fundamentally ridiculous.
What's wrong with a lower age of consent?
You're right dude. There's no harm involved in fucking a corpse. It just shows a huge lack of respect in humanity, and that's something to consider if you know a necro. I'm curious as to where the line is drawn for you, though. Do you have the same beliefs towards cannibalism? Digging up a rotting corpse and going voodoo on it?
I never said that, strawman.
What's it a crime against?
I never SAID it was a crime, I just said it was wrong. It's wrong because it's emotionally harmful, not only to the dead person's relatives, but also to the necro's family and friends. Also, objectively fucking a corpse is ok, but so is killing. Both are morally wrong, you are desecrating a corpse, (for fuck's sake you just need to imagine it, please do it), that dead piece of flesh used to be a living human being, with feelings, dreams, a whole life behind it. It doesn't matter if it's already dead, you have to respect it. Even if you don't believe this, like I said before, it's still harmful to a lot of people.

Like I said I don't really think anyone here is denying the appalling disrespect necrophilia shows, just that disrespect alone isn't good grounds for criminalising something.

I might find people riding donkeys or keeping dogs to be wrong, but that doesn't mean it should be illegal.

Great distress, especially for the victim's relatives.
But something being wrong is subjective. Some people might find those to be ok, but they are illegal anyway.
damn there's a lot of people in this thread with sticks deep up their asses
Guys, I fucked up sorry :(. I never wanted to question the immorality of necrophilia, because I accidentally used immoral instead of illegal in my second post(I was tired when I was writing it). Sorry again, never meant to creep/troll anyone.
Yes, but it's not only disrespect, because it also causes distress in some people like I said before. Great distress, especially for the victim's relatives.
Well what if you signed a consent form of some sort? Then your relatives would know that you're a-okay with being an unliving fucktoy.

You could argue that the family of the body are victims, but that's just because they find the knowledge uncomfortable. If they never knew about it, they wouldn't be suffering. My point was that it should be illegal because sex requires consent from both parties, and dead people cannot give consent; rather than being illegal because it's unpleasant, because anyone can find anything to be unpleasant.

Might as well make putting mummified bodies and skeletons in museums a form of kidnap
Dead people not being able to consent is a stupid reason for necrophilia being illegal tbh. Might as well make putting mummified bodies and skeletons in museums a form of kidnap
Yes, you could argue that.

There's not much else to compare it to.
You can't have sex with the body of a person who consented before death, but you can harvest their organs and perform experiments on them if they were alright with it before they died. What's that word you used again? Hypocrite? That's a real neat word.
So does the illegality here come from that she might have stolen the bones? Or murdered someone?
So does the illegality here come from that she might have stolen the bones? Or murdered someone?
I think it's just that she was committing necrophilia.
Yes, I forgot keeping a rotten, smelly dead body in your closet and taking it to your bed at night to make sweet love to it was the new thing "open-minded" people do.
Well that's probably how the phrase "Skeleton in the closet" originated. [editline]22nd November 2012[/editline] "Dead chicks doesn't say no."
Fucking dead bodies are illegal? Uh oh.
