It'll be like last time all over again. Except this time it'll be worse than David Cameron.
I'm 20 next month, work it out
I bet your folks are voting UKIP.
I bet your folks are voting UKIP.
Indeed they are, as well as most of my family
Indeed they are, as well as most of my family
Ah good to see that your family have brainwashed an impressionable young person into voting for UKIP.
"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree" seems appropriate here.
Indeed they are, as well as most of my family
Shocker. Are you from a really well off area? Maybe in the middle of the country? Family own a farm or some shit that would necessitate the ownership of multiple range rovers?
"Where there are differential crime rates between nationalities, it is perfectly legitimate to point this out and to discuss it in the public sphere and I shall continue to do so. "Police figures are quite clear that there is a high level of criminality within the Romanian community in Britain. This is not to say for a moment that all or even most Romanian people living in the UK are criminals. "But it is to say that any normal and fair-minded person would have a perfect right to be concerned if a group of Romanian people suddenly moved in next door. So far as I can see most of those media commentators objecting to this statement are people living in million pound houses for whom the prospect of such a turn of events is not a real one. "Of course, if we were able to operate a proper work permit scheme for Romanian nationals, with suitable checks, as recommended by UKIP, then nobody would need to be concerned if a group of Romanian nationals moved in next door to them. "
this is actually a post made on the ukip website lmao "not racist"
the best part about a vote for ukip is that they're a guaranteed minority which means even if they do get seats in parliament (which i don't doubt they have the potential to do so), they'll have no means to change anything. though i wonder, if ukip had a supermajority in parliament, how many ukip mps would resign when they accidentally say they hate the nig nogs? i bet mp resignation would skyrocket
Shocker. Are you from a really well off area? Maybe in the middle of the country? From begging the council for milk coupons when I was younger. Hard work mate
We are in a well off area now because my dad worked bloody hard to get here. From begging the council for milk coupons when I was younger. Hard work mate
Aye you're the exact target audience for the UKIP so I'm not fussed, you're the fringe group that'll vote for them and you said you're live in Scotland so you're part of all 5 Scots voting for UKIP.
Aye you're the exact target audience for the UKIP so I'm not fussed, you're the fringe group that'll vote for them and you said you're live in Scotland so you're part of all 5 Scots voting for UKIP.
Make that 6, my best mate is voting them too
Can we just stop replying to josh? You'll never win an argument with somebody like that.
Make that 6, my best mate is voting them too
Rated you winner for increasing the UKIP votes from Scotland by 20%, you'll make Dark Lord Farage very pleased.
I agree with his immigration policy, everything else I don't care about as he will end up just like all the other parties when the immigration has been dealt with
So you're going to vote for UKIP based on one policy, which doesn't affect you, and ignore all of their other policies, most of which do affect you. Doesn't that seem kind of backwards to you?
They're actually much worse than you realize. And they're not right about the EU.
I was only speculating: I know fuck all about politics. However, I know enough about Facepunch to know that everyone hates UKIP and only 20% of people know why they hate them.
Make that 6, my best mate is voting them too
No, he was number 4.

It's a political issue that gets everybody riled up enough to blindly ignore their other policies.
I was only speculating: I know fuck all about politics. However, I know enough about Facepunch to know that everyone hates UKIP and only 20% of people know why they hate them.
20% of people might know only that UKIP is aiming for stricter immigration, but that doesn't mean they don't know why they hate UKIP. I don't need to know anything about UKIP other than the fact that they want to leave the EU immediately, because that's the number one thing I care about right now.
UKIP have actually marketed themselves excellently by just focusing on immigration. It's a political issue that gets everybody riled up enough to blindly ignore their other policies.
Gotta love those reactionary parties. They know how to advertise themselves on the one topic that people happen to be concerned about, even if that topic isn't actually a concern. How many fucklords voting UKIP complain about "them blacks takin' err jerbs", but would refuse to apply for the menial labour positions that almost all immigrants end up having to take? Immigrants aren't taking jobs that "stronk britland" natives would have taken, they're taking the jobs we stuck our noses up to and refused because "it's below us to clean toilets".

I hear people complaining about how apparently every delivery driver for every major takeaway is "some foreigner" or "a paki", yet not a single one of them would ever take the job themselves. In the same vein, people who complain about "PROPER ENGLISH CHIP SHOPS". Who gives a fuck if the guy serving you is Polish? Are you still getting the same Fish and Chips that you would get if the guy was English? Of-fucking-course you are. If you're that bothered by the fact that the guy serving you your chips has an accent, why don't YOU work in a chip shop? Oh, that's right. You don't *really* care about that. You don't want to work in the chip shop, you just want ~ENGLISH FISH AND CHIPS~. Because the nationality or ethnicity of the person giving you them is apparently a direct influence on how ENGLISH they are, not whether the potatoes and fish are sourced from the UK or not. Even then, more than half of these supposedly ~not proper english chip shops~ are still owned by English people. Not that it'd matter if the owner was African, or Czech, or a fucking Martian.
If I wanted to leave the EU I'd vote for the Conservatives, given that they delivered on their promise in 2010 to introduce a statutory 'referendum lock' on granting any further powers to the EU, they're now promising a referendum for 2017, and they might actually win the election and be able to do it. I don't think Farage has a good argument against that now. The Tories took a long, long time to commit to an EU referendum, but now that they're committed I see no reason to think that they'd renege on that if elected. But most UKIP voters think that 'mainstream politicians' are literally subhuman scum who would fuck a dog to get elected and then intentionally break 100% of their promises so never mind
this "i hate the political system so i'm going to vote for ukip" thing is so fucking baffling. you're avoiding the status quo political system by voting for a rich businessman with racist ideas straight out of the 1800s. it's the weirdest and most reversed form of rebellion i can possibly think of
absolutely! "oh i hate the two big parties so i'm going to fuck my vote up in the least productive way possible" it's really like saying "i hate steak and i hate fish, so i'm going to go eat shit"
The last protest vote was for the lib dems, see how that worked out.
Really nice to see that UKIP is appealing to people like joshdasmif, because no sane person would vote for their backwards, racist, backpedalling, media hyping bullshit which have no solid grounds on getting into the government.
The last protest vote was for the lib dems, see how that worked out.
idk, the lib dems aren't massive racists and actually have reasonable policy at least? They had massive support from the youth voters due to their policies on educational funding, they weren't much of a protest vote to be honest. If Clegg wasn't under Camerons boot I expect they'd have actually made some difference, but considering the Tories have majority power in this coalition that was never going to happen.
I don't get the people that buy into UKIPs bullshit because of their promise to curb immigration, it's like they've forgotten about the business owners that are hiring these people because they'll usually do crappy jobs that normal British people wouldn't want to do, and do them for fuck all pay. [editline]19th May 2014[/editline] Or maybe they just didn't know in the first place because most of the people I've seen that want to vote for UKIP are poorly educated and would rather blame everything on Eastern Europeans
I live in the Highlands of Scotland where it's pishy rain and high coastal areas. Climate change will only make this drear, cold place a better one
'Yeah fuck the rest of the world, I want some sun!' EDIT: Wait, you're Scottish and you're voting for a right wing party? Wow.
No no, by all means keep insulting the opposition. It does wonders.

Well they do do it in the UK parliament, it's only fair that politics are argued by the common people in the same way.
Fucking hell, are both of you twelve? Both trying to be higher on the horse than the other.
