Too complicated for me. I'd love to get into it but it just seems like, on top of being complicated, you have little control on what happens
You need to think of it this way: you're not playing an empire, you're playing a leader of an empire. You're only one person. You don't even have control of your heir's until you die and take on that character as the next leader of the kingdom. You, as one person, need to figure out how to manipulate everyone else which is why you don't have much control.
So, I bought this and played around with it a little; it seems pretty fuckin' cool. I was wondering, though, if there was a way to remove the 1453 endgame?
Its possible but getting to that date is like 70 hours of gameplay...
There's my mistake. I was trying to play It as Europa universalis
And might I add, the music DLC is almost definitely worth it. While I haven't listened to any, the game has a fucking awesome soundtrack, and I'd expect nothing less than even more gold:
And as far as I'm aware you can just go into the game files and straight up pull the music out for listening on your own time. I know you can do that for the vanilla soundtrack, unsure for DLC.
Pshaw, using that as an example of this game's great music when you've got this.

Get it today.
I've got the game now, loving it. For the moments it works.
The vanilla game, including the GoT mod, continues to crash ever so often around when the autosave kicks in. Anybody who can point me in a direction on what to do?
I've got Hearts of Iron 3 and was confused as absolute fuck while playing it.
Is this more or less complicated than HoI3?

much less
in terms of paradox complexity scale HoI > Victoria > Crusader Kings > Europa Universalis
I had a friend who played this game a while ago, he formed Ireland and managed to marry a African as well as several courtiers from Ethiopia or something before the distance restriction was in place. Within a few generations all of Ireland was African-Irish hybrids :v:
After seeing these reviews, I MUST get this game.
