What argument? About Chrome? I don't even use Chrome. Infact I use Firefox, so I can't really tell you what it is like. What I can tell you is that you should stop this nonsense as no one was telling you to get Chrome.
Report Trolls don't reply
On topic, Chrome recognized my java version as 13 . something, which is weird seeing as everyone else appears to be 1.7 or 1.6
the plugin version isn't the same as the standalone version
What the hell kind of comebacks are these I see no counter to my argument.
You also don't have an argument, you were proved wrong that chrome doesn't have good/any plugins
I don't care where's my answer why chrome is better I haven't got it yet you all acting like you want me to use chrome why the fuck would i want to? Nothing stands out.
please
just
stop
nobody cares what browser you use
this topic isn't about browsers, it's about java having an exploit
the guy who said "grow up and use chrome" was a moron but you're even more of one for carrying on with the issue
they're fucking web browsers guys jesus christ
Yes because getting pissed off automatically makes me a troll.
I'ma go make a thread in mass debate since i hate getting rated dumb.
Java drive-bys are nothing new, this is why you only run Java apps on pages you trust. I thought everyone knew this?
This is a whole lot of hype about a single exploit of hundreds that exist on multiple versions of Java.
Tell us why Firefox is so superior asshat. I'm not saying it's worse but why should I change to firefox if chrome does literally everything that firefox does.
As someone who switched to Chrome from Firefox a while back as many other people did, I kind of miss the extensive customization (about:config especially)
not really a huge deal though, getting around is much faster for me in Chrome
http://javatester.org/version.html
It says my Java Plug-in is out of date.
Am I safe
Tell us why Firefox is so superior asshat. I'm not saying it's worse but why should I change to firefox if chrome does literally everything that firefox does.
Not true, Firefox can do that gimmicky 3D mode when you click 'Inspect Element'. Just saying

Yeah, I switched a couple years back because ff just got bloated, Chrome was easier for me and I personally just like it much more.
Haven't updated since version 1.6, phew.
Then you're probably vulnerable to a whole range of exploits, not just this one.
Chrome asks me if Java wants to do something. I also never visit any other site than Facepunch, I'm pretty much safe.
Thanks for telling. Java is disabled now for me. Hope this get fixed soon.
Huh, I didn't have to disable Java, Firefox did it by itself.
Still 1.6, hurray for being a lazy pillock.
What the hell kind of comebacks are these I see no counter to my argument.
I think firefox is poopy, there's my counter.
According Mozilla/Firefox Help, my Java was automatically disabled because it was out of date.
Just shut all of your faggot faces up seriously you all look like fucking retards no one cares what browser you use get the fuck over it.
Can you use adblock and greasemonkey on chrome? No you can't, give me a reason why chrome is better I dare you.
Uh yes you can.
Don't even start. Both browsers are equally better than Internet explorer.
Not anymore they are.
because firefox is a chronic bloody piece of shit
seriously though, Chrome runs insanely well for me
it also tells me this

son you need to chill out
Whoops, I uninstalled Java before scrolling down more.
Downgrading to an earlier version of Java is not advised, because even though earlier versions aren't vulnerable to this particular exploit, they may contain other bugs that expose still other vulnerabilities.
I'm not trying to be mean but to everyone who's going "I haven't updated I'm safe" should just be aware of this.
"Don't give them any fucking ideas, you motherfucking shitgubbling retard!"
Seriously. Why do experts always have the need to point "the obvious" to the press? What if it wasn't obvious? Good job, you just gave these asshats an a+ tip. Shit son...
If the attackers were clever enough to discover and make use of this vulnerability, they're clever enough to know that too.
And who says it's only a tip for the attackers? It could also alert Linux and Mac users (such as yourself!) that you might be at risk and should also disable your Java until a patch is put out.
Well, Chrome asks me for permission before Java does anything, so that's nice.
Can you use adblock and greasemonkey on chrome? No you can't, give me a reason why chrome is better I dare you.
I'm running both greasemonkey and ad-block on google chrome
This is why I only have Java installed when I immediately need it. Having old versions of Java is horrible security-wise, though you might be immune to this, you're still open to a shit ton of exploits which were patched, being why there are new versions. It might be inconvenient to install Java every time I want to use it, but I hardly ever do, so it's totally worth the 2 minutes of installing/uninstalling.
Also, to those who don't already know, Java and Javascript are two different things.
i don't even think I have Java installed on this computer yet
[editline]28th August 2012[/editline]
wait no, I have NetBeans installed that means I have to have Java installed.
shit.
Thanks guys! Nuked Java. Thanks for the headsup.
