Oracle's implementation of Java is the most insecure shit ever, it needs to die.
There, better. Other VMs for Java exist but literally nobody uses them (and I think they only exist for Linux anyway).
Because it doesn't really matter with Java since it runs on all systems anyway.
I take it you didn't read the part where the payload at present only downloads an EXE file for execution. Which means the article still gave them an idea for expansion.
to be honest I wouldn't mind if macs got attacked just slightly at this point Apple needs to cut their shit out with not being able to do anything with their computers.
Wouldn't mind for half a second. My mac is only a browsing and media machine. Nothing Linux couldn't do for me.
Google Chrome always asks for permission before running a Java applet. I feel safe.
Chrome says I gotta download a critical security update for Java. Is that to fix it or not? I'll leave it off anyways.
noscript for lyfe
yeah son, das wassup
I was going to disable it but firefox did it for me.
Mozillas got our backs, yo.
Quit cold turkey it's the only way
Can't give up his favorite game cold turkey- Oh my god. Turkey. With pillowy mounds of mashed potatoes.
Mine had already been automatically disabled due to this security risk.
So if i got Java SE 6 Update "xx" i should be fine right? .... Right? "Can't remember the update nr"
Yeah, Java 6 apparently doesn't have this problem.
This is such old news. Java Drive By attacks have existed for ages. People use them to install malware on peoples computer that allows them to view there webcam, files, passwords and keylog everything. This is just another version of the attack. If you want to protect yourself you should get your browser to ask you on every page that is requesting access to Java.
And this is why you don't update your shit unless it's broken and the update fixes what's broken.
older versions on java are just as exploit ridden
