Legally, self defense is still innocent. He isn't guilty of murder, because he hasn't been convicted of it yet. Thats all I have been arguing.
yes a conviction hasn't been made thanks for wasting everyones time with your overall annoying and redundant posts just to remind everyone of something we all know by now. if you had taken any care to read the conversation that was taking place before you decided to hop in and contribute a mind numbingly dense wall of useless common sense and factoids everyone is aware of, you would have seen the only reason i said that was because people are implying that he is still "innocent until proven guilty" and that its the states responsibility to prove he WASNT acting in self defense, when the reality is that its up to him to prove he WAS.

My initial reply said the same thing I just posted. You seemed to be arguing that fact with me, I apologize if you where not.
uh no sorry, you're not understanding this at all
the prosecution wants to charge him with murder. he has admitted to killing a person. if we cut the case right there, he's guilty of murder because he fuckin killed somebody. let that sink in, i know it may be an alien concept but if you kill someone, its generally up to you to explain the corpse away. now its up to him to say "yes i killed him BUT it wasn't murder because:" which he has failed to do. idk how i can make it more simple for you but sorry you're wrong

i love how you dudes just cling to this childlike obsession with the "innocent until proven guilty" catchphrase and act as if your memorization of a motto somehow invalidates the actual law behind self defense prosecution lmao
Yea, but they aren't cutting the case right there.
Because Zimmerman plead not guilty.

Yeah, no, you're being completely ridiculous.
lie detectors are still used?
I thought they got rid of them because the science community all ready said it is a bad machine that does more bad then good and because you can lie to it and get away with it.

Burden of proof being on the accuser is ridiculous, now?

do you ever wonder why people might continue to argue with you even though you think you're right?
hint: it might be because you post like an absolute cunt
do continue to be ~edgy~ though
he admitted to killing a person. that is plenty evidence for a murder conviction UNTIL he says "but it was self defense".
No it isn't. There are different degrees of homicide. There's murder of varying degrees, there's various types of manslaughter, justifiable homicide (self defense), assisted suicide, and so on. It's not automatically murder because a person died as a result of someone else's actions.
Burden of proof being on the accuser is ridiculous, now?
They already have the proof that he shot Martin, they do not have to disprove Zimmerman's self defense plead, Zimmerman has to prove he killed out of self defense, that's just the way self defense works. Self defense is an exception to laws stating that you may not kill another person, thus the burden of proof is with the accused in cases of self defense. It is always the accused's responsibility to prove self defense due to self defense being an exception on something otherwise illegal.
I don't see how there is so much argument over this.
Self defence is an affirmative defence, which means that Zimmerman must prove that killing Treyvon Martin was justifiable.
