I can't wait to see the lineup.
So pretty much a bunch of old anime? Sounds like fun....
So pretty much a bunch of old anime? Sounds like fun....
Yeah, it does. I hope they air Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. That show is just insane.
Unless they air new shows, idk if there is a point. In this wonderful age of digital distribution and I download, stream, whatever, anything at any time, TV period feels so archaic and pointless, like a relic from a different era.
Seeing as this is on Saturday I'm guessing they are scrapping their shitty anime Saturdays by making it Toonami, so I hope they are going to show what Toonami showed and not the garbage they show for most of Saturday night. [editline]16th May 2012[/editline] Gundam G, shit was crazy

Too bad the english dub of ∀ Gundam didn't make it. Anyways, the twenty sixth will be the day of the century.
With all this good coming out of cartoon network and [as] one can hope that we may see the day when space ghost and Harvey bird man make their return please, I'm begging you I need some new space ghost stuff.
As excited as I am, I really would like it to have the old shows I watched as a kid
As excited as I am, I really would like it to have the old shows I watched as a kid
You know reading on wikipedia about cartoon planet
The series' revival premiered on March 30, 2012, featured a much different format than the original series. Space Ghost, for instance, doesn't make an appearance, which leaves Brak (who has partially recovered from his loss of mental capacity, although not completely) and Zorak the only characters hosting. Another difference is that instead of classic 1960s-era cartoons being showcased, this show now features Cartoon Network original programming from the 1990s and 2000s, including Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, Courage the Cowardly Dog and many more.
Maybe these will be revived if the viewers like it, I'm starting to notice with Toonami now coming back CN is trying to get back their most beloved in some way. Also seeing as the new logo expands into the checkerboard style but with a different font, I'm seeing a trend.
Umm you can say the exact same damn thing about new shows too.
I stopped watching TV like 4 years ago, so I guess you're right. What I don't get is why companies stick to the TV model, why not just make an official channel on youtube, and upload the episodes to shows there? Boom, no need for TV anymore.
Too bad Canada won't get Toonami:suicide:. Enjoy guys....
They should show the Cowboy BeBop movie the first night it's back.
A revolution breaking the loop.
It's plausible, I just wonder if it would still be from Roger's view.[sp]But wouldn't it eventually just end up with Big Venus coming back out and restarting everything?[/sp]
Don't like anime but that is pretty cool, I do remember watching Dragon Ball Z from it as a kid.
I'll be honest here, I don't know why everyone's creaming themselves over this news. Why do people want to watch weekly doses of old, censored anime reruns? I'm getting a feeling that too many people have their nostalgia goggles on and that the viewership for this will drop off pretty quickly after the initial buzz. That is, unless they start showing new anime as well. I hope this brings about some sort of push for western anime localization, because it really needs it right now. I'm interested in what they mean by "developing new original anime programming". While I'm personally happy at the idea of newer generations getting to see these good old shoes, I don't think I'll be watching this myself.
Well, I for one would love to watch Cowboy Bebop and the other shows I neglected when Toonami was still on.
Not gonna lie, that looks like shit. Perhaps Golgo 13 would be a better choice. At least that's got action, a decent dub job, and a premise that doesn't involve slice of life supernatural nonsense that's already been done to death, horribly.
Yeah, Golgo 13 would be badass. Not only does he shoot violin strings with his M16, he gets laid before and after the job too. Another would be Neon Genesis Evangelion. Perhaps one of the many Gundam series
