Tea Party Leader: We'll Take A Debt Ceiling Hike If You Put Gay Troops Back In The Closet
The problem with gays in the military is that the military uses machismo to recruit little kids, or in other words they tell kids that if they join the military they'll become REAL MEN. On the other hand taking a dick in the ass is seen as feminine. So letting gays into the military has become a sort of attack against some Americans belief systems.
What I'm saying is that we need to address the idea that homosexual men are inherently feminine.

Although that isn't really the issue, sorry, the issue is that femininity is seen as a negative thing- which is wrong.
Well, you could be the guy putting the dick in the other guy's ass.
You have to look at both sides of the story here.

"Yes, it's true. This man has no dick."
Meh, typical of them; holding the economy hostage to push their own bigoted views.

Conservative Republicans are willing to destroy America to push their beliefs on others. It's fucking terrifying that they should have any say at all in what goes on in the government.
It's also unbelievably common for the right to completely make shit up and lie out their asses about the founding fathers and what they supported (the same way they do with the Christian God, but with the founding fathers it's more demonstrably false)
David Barton is an idiot manchild who should never be allowed to speak in public again.
In my opinion, ignoring their demands completely is the best option. The Tea Party consists of the people who thought the Right Wing wasn't Right-Wing enough so they built an addition to it. While they have a bit of political sway, even most Republicans think what they do is a bit drastic. If we went on with plans as normal, they wouldn't have nearly enough power to change anything.
The whole thing is a bluff more than anything.
Ugh, yes, it's an unbelievably common meme among the right, and honestly americans in general, that the Founding Fathers (TM) were a perfect group of political gods that made the best government on earth 300 years ago and any deviation from their old documents is tantamount to religious heresy. It's a force that's keeping us from moving forward.
It's actually really ironic, considering the Framers were against the entire elitism prospect that neo-cons support today.
Was their system perfect? No, far from it. Even after the constitution was written it was designed to be a work in progress.
Were they perfect? Hell no. They were members of what we would consider the bottom ninety today who wanted to END the elitism spread by people like Thomas Hobbes, the 17 century partial equivalent (Hobbes had some level of sanity) of today's neo-cons (without all the foggy social policy).
If anything the Framers would grow annoyed of a race of people who call imperfect men and their imperfect system of government something greater than just that.
Exactly why we should remain progressive, and constantly work to improve, keep up with the times, etc.
Fuckin factions
In both economics and foreign/military policy I am generally conservative, but on social issues the liberals are far ahead.
We'll stand down on what our main policy care is, to fuck over gays

Hey, the Spartans were gay as fuck, and you don't see those 12-year-old little shits complaining about THEM, do you?

Well, the Spartans weren't that big on homosexuality, actually. That was Athens.

Really, Greek culture as a whole was more progressive towards sexuality than ours. They didn't give a rat's ass who you fucked, just as long as you maintained your honor.

Sort of like the Romans before Christianity.

I start to wonder how great the world would have been if Christianity had never surfaced. Even Islam might be a more progressive religion today - Christianity is responsible for Islam's state these days.
The more homophobic you are, the deeper in the closet you are.
This guy is just buried.

No. There is a reason why the only guys who insisted Sparta's institutionalized pedophilia was platonic were apologists.

Which could be violated if you were a grown man on the bottom for another one.
They had their own stupid stigmas, just different and more narrow ones.
Goddamn it, my father is in the tea party and he supports this kind of shit.
What's next? Institute a death penalty for being gay like Uganda and we'll allow you to have your healthcare reforms?
