Discovery of new blood types may explain some transplant failures

I can't actually remember my bloodtype. Think it was A or B, or maybe AB if I were "lucky."
Mines HIV+
wow now O- isn't the rarest blood type?
damn there goes my bragging rights
No, see think of it this way.
Everyone is either O, A, B, or AB. O is most common. AB is least common.
At the same time, everyone is Rh Positive or Rh Negative. Positive is most common, and iirc virtually universal in everyone except whites. Negative is least common, and only is found in a minority of people who are white (and nobody else).
So, AB- is rarest, and O+ is most common. This is ignoring ridiculously rare blood types (meaning hh type Bombay blood, etc) and other blood groupings.
O positive represent, motherfucker.
I am AB-
Having rare blood is a two sided blade. On one side your donations are welcome much more, on the other hand if you need a transfusion you're at a higher risk.
Wow this is interesting, I just donated blood today and my highschool, almost passed out twice but shit I have no clue what blood type I am.
It never was.
The rarest is AB- with 0.5%, 0- having some 4,3%.
I have AB-.
You common lowbloods.
Bitch please. 0- is universal. AB- accepts donors with AB-, A-, B- too, thus mixing with other low-pedigree scum. 0- only accepts 0-. I'm part of the 0- master race
You lowly filth.

Enjoy your transfusion waiting list.

Yup, that sucks. I'm doomed :C
Lol, bragging over rare blood types. I don't what I have, no one remembers :s
Yeah, act all cool and shit. Then talk to me once you need a new organ and no one has your blood type.
Actually AB- is the universal acceptor so you'll be fine with whatever organ, if the other compatibility tests are fine (assuming they're perfectly accurate that is)
it's O- who are fucked

I know it's universal receptor in the vaguely theoretical meaning, but as far as I heard, they usually don't go by that and try to follow the bloodgroup closely.
