why not change the fucking voice like in a tiny smidge stop trying to rake in portal fans jesus christ, its not like the Guillermo explicitly said "yeah the voice of glados should be the AI voice yeah exactly the exact same thing, yeah" i plan on eating this piece of shit because im gonna turn my brain off and lower my standards, fuck off fun haters
A lot of us are glad that Glad0s' voice is in it. If you can't handle it then I'm sorry.
microsoft sam pls
You have inspired me to make this.
What were you expecting? It makes as much sense as monster island or whatever it was called in the Godzilla films.
my point was with the wording it could easily be a portal joke
Guys, he put Glados in because he's a Portal fan and because he thought it'd be cool. He basically fanboyed out and got permission to put her in. He wasn't going after Portal fans.

This isn't Kaiju or Mecha enough for me, personally. But make those robits as tiny plastic and I will buy so many.
Doesn't look all that bad, for sure worth just checking out.
You have inspired me to make this.
Oh God My Sides...
The whole premise is stupid "What's that? Drop a 1000lb bomb on the monsters from the air? Nah, that's too easy. Let's give the monsters a chance and just fly towards them firing our cannons, and build an overly complex robot to combat them later. Perfect."
uh, do you not fucking understand the point of the movie its a homage to giant monster movies from the past, yknow, the ones that had BIG ASS FUCKING MONSTERS FIGHTING EACH OTHER if in ANY of thoose movies if they were like 'lol lets just drop a nuke on them' it would be as boring as fucking hell and the movie would end in like five minutes. plus im pretty sure they would consider other options before NUKING AN ENTIRE CITY
This is so going to be a godzilla movie. It proves it by the monsters at best lol.
I literally can't believe this movie is by the same guy who did the masterpiece that is Pan's Labyrinth
Or maybe she has a good acting voice for computers, lol
I don't care myself, but they really did run her voice through, like, the exact same filters.
I literally can't believe this movie is by the same guy who did the masterpiece that is Pan's Labyrinth
because if you make an artistic film with lots of social commentary and shit you immediately can't have fun for the rest of your life seriously who the fuck pissed your your guys' collective cheerios is it such a sin that someone wants to make a super over the top fighty robot movie that isn't horribly offensive or a visual clusterfuck? Is it so bad that it's just call outs to cool shit strung together by overly serious "THEH FEHT OF THEH WURLD" monologues? seriously this is why michael bay is rolling in cash, because the fuckheads who laugh at skid and mudflap and get boners for the military don't get their panties in a twist over every fucking tiny niggly detail I mean holy fuck, you've completely revoked your right to complain about shitty action schlock when amazingly well crafted and non-pretentious schlock comes along and you castigate it because the voice in the background was the same as the voice of a character in a video game you liked. What the fuck do you people want?
Ugh fuck you Hollywood and your jacking of Neon Genesis Evangelion What's next, Akira I presume....
What the hell's the point? It just seems so pointless for her inclusion.
notice the tagline - to fight monsters, we created monsters. It's completely possible for her to actually go rogue and call everyone - you monster.
Ugh fuck you Hollywood and your jacking of Neon Genesis Evangelion What's next, Akira I presume....
how does this ruin Evangelion did Evangelion invent giant robots nope, H. G. Wells did
its kinda hilarious to watch the hypocrisy going on, everyone on fp absolutely despised michael bays transformers and that battleship movie too but if its directed by guillermo and about giant robots and has glados its suddenly okay to enjoy generic mindless popcorn movies again
that's because in addition to being a mindless crash boom bang action effect explosion lens flare cash cow, Transformers has many other flaws (fucking awful color filters, oo-rah marines america fuck yeah, oversexualised women, useless characters, annoying protagonist) that take much of the focus away from the actual robots. in many parts the action doesn't make sense either because the design of the robots is overly complicated and has tons of unnecessary detail that messes up all the close-ups because the viewer can't focus on the thousands of moving parts here they've kept both the monster and robot design relatively simple and Del Toro seems to actually know that he needs to focus on the monsters and the robots, and the huge battles of course. i also didn't see any eye-popping Yellow & Cyan® color filters or unnecessary lens flares or explosions OR tan-covered supermodel hookers still, if it turns out to be shit, i'll just throw it into the same "my explosionfest collection" box with Transformers

Yeah let's shoot that in the face!" by making the autobots willingly leave Earth and then come back after Chicago was basically flattened and the inhabitants massacred so the autobots could come back and say "we fucking told you bro, you wouldn't believe they were bad so we had to let millions die to prove a point!"
Oh wow. Was completely uninterested in even watching the trailer for this, but holy crap that looks kind of awesome.
This movie looks dumb as fuck.
So we have giant robots, high tech armor, ninjas, artificial intelligence, monsters from another dimension, and a smart-mouthed black man
I'll be damned if that doesn't sound like Half-Life
I hear people comparing the similarities of this to Neon Genesis Evangelion. We have to see this and find out.
Really. Someone manages to get a AAA movie budget for a mecha movie and they choose the worst possible one. Not the awesome mech warrior styled western mecha. Not the heavily detailed and well designed variable fighters from macross/robotech. Not even the ridiculous, but still entertaining armored core style high speed Japanese mecha. No. They went with the stupid fucking giant and completely pointless design. The absolute worst possible one. This makes me sad on the inside.
A mechwarrior war movie with special effects everywhere would be fucking awesome. This trailer i was like, oh cool i guess.
This movie looks dumb as fuck.
We're terribly sorry every movie can't be perfect just for you, Mr. Important.
I'd rather see another paranormal activity that's saying something those movies look horrible both movies look horrible everything looks horrible what they are making, involves no mindset, not many seem to get original ideas anymore
A mechwarrior war movie with special effects everywhere would be fucking awesome. This trailer i was like, oh cool i guess.
Too bad the Mechwarrior license is dropping faster than an Atlas legged by coward clanner scum.
not many seem to get original ideas anymore
Oh man, do you even know what the word original means?
so why is humanity superior to all giant aliens/doomsday devices etc? I just dont understand this "HOMENZ ALWEYS WINNES LULZ!!1!!!"
plus they renamed Asuka 'Kate Rose' what? rebuild is spectacular, they even made ramiel cool. the only 3D that was jarring to me was that thing asuka fights in in her opening scene
Curious - is Asuka's german in rebuild still so painfull to hear? Or did they get someone who can actually make at least a passable accent.
