Fuck windows i really wish in the next few years games will become more multi platform with linux support, engines really need to support that. archeage is the only game keeping me now.
We all knew this was going to happen eventually, it was just a question of when. Now we just wait for Valve to port the games that nobody plays like L4D1 and they'll be all done. (psst, just report the troll)
I mean Valve DID port Ricochet, so there's a chance? I always wanted to give Linux a try, it seems like something I'd really like, but since I mainly play games on my computer I can't really get around to it, hopefully as more and more games are ported to Linux I can justify using it. I can't wait to see more games getting ported. As someone who is an outsider to this discussion I can support their claims of you being aggressive. You're merely proving the people calling you out correct. Stop, you've got nothing to gain from continuing, you're just digging yourself a deeper hole.
How do I remove "Music Player" from context menu? Couldn't find it in the usual settings window.

I just like Windows. I've used it for years, I know its ins and outs, it does everything I want, it plays all my games. Its a tower of duct tape, yes, but I just like it. Personal preferences, hey?
uh oh, here come the /g/entlemen with their cum crusted thinkpads and gentoo distros
/g/ is better than that now [sp]They use arch now[/sp]

Especially without even trying Linux like the others in this thread.
/g/ is better than that now [sp]They use arch now[/sp]
every fifth reply is still "install gentoo" though
every fifth reply is still "install gentoo" though
Yeah, but that is just the gentoogarden leaking.
Nice for people who really want to play CS:GO but have a linux. Happy for them I guess.
Nice for people who really want to play CS:GO but have a linux. Happy for them I guess.
According to the Steam hardware statistics, ~1% of the current Steam userbase is using Linux. While ~1% doesn't seem like much, 1% of the current steam community is still 1% of >30.000.000 people, which is still >300.000 people, that all get to enjoy being able to play CS:GO.
I try to but i'm getting bashed by linux users. (User was banned for this post ("Threadshitting" - Craptasket))
turns out i'm a oracle
How do you install Wine games in Linux Steam?

Well, you can't exactly, but you can install Steam through Wine, and install games in that Steam client instead of the native Linux one.
Well, its possible to do steam with wine, I have tried that, but if I run both native steam and wine steam together, weird things start to happen, like one of them will be disconnected form steam Here I'm using add non-steam game and point it to a script with only
wine /path/to/game/exe
Except for osu, because its on a separate wine prefix, so it have the wineprefix= command

I'm constantly coming and going from Linux, but if GTA V gets announced for Linux then good fucking bye Windows.

I have a feeling it is like 0.1% but they have to round it up to the nearest digit because you can't have 0%.
No. It's actually 1.06%
That's a lot of Linux users then
I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired of having to specially configure wine for every game on my steam list, usually without accurate instructions on the AppDB. Nuts to that, time for dual booting.

I couldn't find it anywhere I looked on Steams page, but they used to have it display somewhere, so I just used the most recent number I could recall, which was somewhere above 30 mil.
That's a lot of Linux users then
And here you thought Linux was such a niche. It isn't. It's already everywhere else, but the desktop market still tries to keep Microsoft on top, even though it's slowly turning around.
Yes, I really enjoy reinstalling my OS every month
I have a machine that has had XP from release, never reinstalled, still works fine. Where is your god now? :v:
Every XP machine I had was fine. 7 on the other hand...

Anybody got an idea how to get the microphone working? It works in any other game, and in the self test provided in the options. But ingame it just won't work.
