Why can't girls just like Ninja's and other glorious things.
I remember seeing worse things.
No you wouldn't if you think any of your bans have been a result of flaming thisispain. The closest you get is some of your raging antisemitism, really
Because I called Peter Moore, the head of EA a jew during my initial reactions of E3? Yeah okay. I'm such an antisemite man. I'm engaged to a Jewish girl.

Now ofcourse you could find thousands of kits made for girls or boys and I could find thousands of gender neutral ones too.
So lets end that here.

This looks nice apart from the minifigures, they look like mutants.
The lego sets they make specifically to target girls are pretty awful. They could at least make some of the girl stuff more badass to match with the boy stuff.
Maybe the average girl finds those just as awesome as you find the "boy" sets!

This was made because of customer complaints that there weren't any girl-centered sets. Quick sidenote, these sets are popular with boys as well because of the unique colors of the Lego elements. :j

Friends minifigs suck. But the hair can go on regular minifigs which is kind of fun.
Why not do the same with clothes? Don't see the problem with toys that are marketed towards specific genders.
Why not do the same with clothes?.
I agree completely!
how is this bad or dumb
how does this even relate to tumblr or feminism
im speechless
The "dumb" part I can explain, usually the first rating on a post dictates the rest that will follow regardless of content, a few people rated dumb and I guess a bunch of other people were swayed by the ratings. I see this a lot in SH by seeing some topic rated agree a million times (on threads made with no extra comments by the OP) and then the majority of posts therein are the complete opposite of agreeing.
Or they legit thought it was dumb. Which is silly. But opinions.
I don't see how this relates to feminism either.

Y'know if it fits in with the other 'town'-type buildings they released in the past it would be kinda cool, not gonna lie. Then we could pretend it was run by this guy.

Lego alien space pimp, oh hell yes.
I've shown my girlfriend some of this shit and even she distances herself from these miserable cunts. I've spoken with female friends and they've done the same. Newsflash: Most women distance themselves from these people.

she was probably lying to you to avoid being beaten for suggesting anything other than pure conservative subservient thoughts
So you're implying that women can't stick up for themselves and are at the mercy of all men???
sexist!
I've found that many progressives think that if a woman prefers to conform to societies gender roles she only does so because of either A) essentially being brainwashed by society or B) fears that men might treat her badly otherwise and that it is never possible that she ACTUALLY wants, purely by her own will, to.
For example, I read through President Obama's autobiography not to long ago and he talks about how his grandmother was the breadwinner of their house while he was living with his grandparents. This, of course, didn't fit into the gender roles of society. Obama says that one day his grandmother, in secret, told him that she often wished that she would have been able to live the "American dream" role of being the stay at home wife who spends the day baking, taking care of the children, etc. Instead of taking her at her word as a mature adult woman he completely dismisses her wishes by saying that she was simply ignorant and blinded by society.
I'm NOT saying all progressives think this way, but I have seen it as a worrying trend. Women are only able to make their own choice if they choose to do what the progressive thinks is best.

I don't beat my women. I fuck with them psychologically over the course of years. Try again.

Or maybe people have different opinions than you.
Or maybe people have different opinions than you.
That's impossible. She was brainwashed by the patriarchy.

As someone who is a part of an "extreme" feminist community (shitredditsays) this really never happens. Women shouldn't feel that they have to be put into these positions, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to be a caregiver, nor should they be thought of as the better caregiver just because they're a woman.

I'm glad to hear you don't feel that way, but I do think it's a bigger group than you believe. If the president of the United States feels that way I have to assume a large number of others do as well.
I'll have to find the exact quote from his autobiography, but it will take some time.
I've found that many progressives think that if a woman prefers to conform to societies gender roles she only does so because of either A) essentially being brainwashed by society or B) fears that men might treat her badly otherwise and that it is never possible that she ACTUALLY wants, purely by her own will, to.

no youve got it completely the wrong way around, not a single "progressive" (id be hardpressed to call obama a progressive) would say that a woman conforming to a gender role does so because she's brainwashed or something.
thats first of all a very obvious strawman, and having an example from a "read-through" from obama's autobiography doesn't change that.
second of all no woman wants to JUST stay at home. no woman wants to just spend her days baking and taking care of children. i'd find it very hard to believe that. what women want is the choice to do anything, including cooking and taking care of their children, but because they want to, not because they feel like they have to do so, without help from the father.
there's never been such a thing as a stay at home mum who does nothing besides bake and take of children. society might imprint that as an ideal, but women have since the beginning of time done a lot more. theyve been doctors, lawyers, artists, community activists; and historically many of them have done it WHILE taking care of children.
Here's the quote if anyone is interested:
"When I got older, though, she (his grandmother) would confide in me that she had never stopped dreaming of a house with a white picket fence, days spent baking or playing bridge or volunteering at the local library. I was surprised by this admission, for she rarely mentioned hopes or regrets. It may or may not have been true that she would have preferred the alternative history she imagined for herself, but I came to understand that her career spanned a time when the work of a wife outside the home was nothing to brag about, for her or for Gramps-that it represented only lost years, broken promises." - The Dreams of My Father by Barack Obama, pg 25
He puts two sentences of analysis for her comment:
1) He dismisses her desires by saying she might not have even enjoyed it, as if he knows what she should want more than she does.
2) He brings attention to societies negative impression of female breadwinners as the only given reason for her wishes. This is to say that her wish was based on brainwashing of society as opposed to genuine self-made desire.
I personally know multiple women who's greatest desire is to get married, start a family, and be a stay at home mom. So while they may not exist in your circle they most definitely exist.
you might see that as their "greatest desire" thats not their only desire which is the point im making and i think your analysis of that comment is dubious
when you actually look up the history of his grandmother like i did then youll find that she did a lot outside of being a housewife on her own volition

which kind of genocide did you advocate for again I forget
was it racial or religious or something
also thisispain, facepunch thinks this is dumb because it challenges their worldview and anything that does so is dumb because they're always right
They're fucking toys guys, it's not like this is some "LET THE CHILDREN CHOOSE THEIR OWN GENDER" campaign or what have you. They're just fucking toys.
All kids play with all kinds of different toys.
Comes to mind now a dutch documentary about gender roles with a study that shown that even after months from birth, male kids are more interested in contraptions and things, like cars and the like, while female kids are more interested in faces and human shapes- like dolls.
so that says what for children who figure out they're transgendered in some manner at an early age? not much because they'll just be called outliers which is stupid.

Apparently having an abortion after the child is born is "infanticide".
Some people are unfit to be parents and the whole "just give it up for adoption" argument is bullshit because unless your child is a good looking and/or intelligent child, they will be sitting in a group home until the age of 18 and they'll be kicked out and forced into a world where no one gave a fuck about them.

i agree orphanages and foster homes are generally terrible
but you're being ridiculous a little bit there.
what do you mean apparently
why did you put infanticide in quotes
killing an infant is literally infanticide
