My god, someone get an SCP containment crew in here
Got Mobile Task Force Eta-10 on the job right now.
I'm pretty sure the most devoted parents will be willing to move from state to another or simply send their kid to live with relatives to another state where "curing" gayness is legal. It's about their childs immortal soul after all.
I believe there is a growing phenomenon of sexually confused teenagers turning gay through the help of Internet and imageboards. And I'm not sure what to think of it. You can see it happening on Facepunch as well. I think it's not good.
hahahahhaha hahaha oh man
Reminds me of this thread where a lesbian teenager described her ordeal. Her mother paid to have her forcibly taken away to have her 'treated'. I'm glad that steps are being taken to prevent repeats of that sort of thing.

Hopefully soon these camps of anti-sanity will rot, and sanity be restored to the victims of the heinous indoctrination that happened within. It'll take a lot of therapy to help heal their abused minds (those camps are filled with terrible ordeals from what i've heard), so if anything grief counselors and therapists will have plenty of business to help the victims get better. Restoration of sanity is a big deal; it's as important as recovering from injury or illness, if not more important, since mental health is not something to turn a blind eye to. Nonetheless, the sooner the bigoted and broken elder generations rot into meaty mulch, the sooner that being gay becomes as normal and everyday as rock and roll or footlong subs. It's ok to be gay, and that's an intrinsic truth adherent of the very essence of intelligence itself; love isn't just lad on lass, it can also be lad on lad or lass on lass.
no youre a homo deal with it
Goddamn it... Smoke one joint, and you're not a pothead. Have one drink, and you're not an alcoholic. But suck ONE DICK...

homosexuality doesn't come with a free internet trial
homosexuality doesn't come with a free internet trial
Are you sure? I could swear those AOL trial discs are dangerous the our youth.
wow lmao, not only do you have a childlike naivete when it comes to how being gay works, but you think it's a bad thing too
We still need to study how becoming gay happens, in my opinion.
We still need to study how becoming gay happens, in my opinion.
Should we also study how preferences and opinions "happen"? I think that would really fall under seeing gay people as an oddity or like scientific experiement (for lack of a better word*). We do not need to study how people "become gay" because it will (probably) lead to people trying different methods to "cure gay."
We still need to study how becoming gay happens, in my opinion.
we've studied for 40 years and the results keep contradicting each other. but what we know for sure is that homosexuality is not based on traumatic experience or parental experience, which is what it is said to be caused by up till this day. kids with hetero-normative parents end up gay, kids with gay parents end up straight. i'm not willing to say it's biological till it's concrete proof and it's very foggy at best. [editline]19th August 2012[/editline]
I think that would really fall under seeing gay people as an oddity or like scientific experiement
only if we attach stigma behind research and science.
We still need to study how becoming gay happens, in my opinion.
we're already studying it, it's pretty inconclusive. so far it seems like a big hodgepodge of genetics, womb conditions, childhood, and plain dumb luck. [editline]20th August 2012[/editline]
Should we also study how preferences and opinions "happen"?
Yes. In fact we already do - and like every other time people have said "don't study that, it's dangerous!", it turned up with surprising, interesting, and useful results. To give just one example, your cognition can be hijacked by arbitrary stimuli that can make you believe or decide something you wouldn't do otherwise, and this means that once you're aware of it you can find ways to counteract it.
I think that would really fall under seeing gay people as an oddity or like scientific experiement (for lack of a better word*). We do not need to study how people "become gay" because it will (probably) lead to people trying different methods to "cure gay."
Stop worshiping the mysterious. Once we fully understand what causes homosexuality (and bisexuality, and all the other wonderful permutations and dimensions of human sexuality), the sheer preposterousness of "curing" homosexuality will be made plain as day.
My friend went to one of these camps one time when her parents forced her to go (Catholics). The tests there were...odd, I don't get how you can really tell hetros and homos apart. Like one of them was a picture of a rock and how do you describe it and such. Though after a few weeks she was classified as "incurable" and sent back home.
wow. I guess we should let the state control the children and not the parents, thanks California! This basically sounds like something from a fucking dystopian novel.
wow. I guess we should let the state control the children and not the parents, thanks California! This basically sounds like something from a fucking dystopian novel.
Yes, preventing child abuse is totally like something from a dystopian novel.
Yes, preventing child abuse is totally like something from a dystopian novel.
Dunno, but letting your child be gay is abuse. (User was banned for this post ("homophobia" - GunFox))
Dunno, but letting your child be gay is abuse.
Sorry, what?
Dunno, but letting your child be gay is abuse.
Wow, fucking really? Go on, I want to hear your reasoning behind this. I want to see where this skull fucking stupidity comes from.
Dunno, but letting your child be gay is abuse.
oh no, I'm a child abuse victim and I didn't even realize it guys what should I do
I believe there is a growing phenomenon of sexually confused teenagers turning gay through the help of Internet and imageboards. And I'm not sure what to think of it. [editline]20th August 2012[/editline]
Dunno, but letting your child be gay is abuse.
It's a joke, right?
Dunno, but letting your child be gay is abuse.
I'm pretty sure it was abuse when your parents repeatedly dropped you on your head as a baby.
Dunno, but letting your child be gay is abuse.
I see you've began your box farming career with earnest, I wish you the best of luck, also that is literally the dumbest opinion ever.
they have camps for un-gaying kids?fucking barbaric.
You don't wanna hear about some of the stories coming out of those camps. They are absolutely inhumane.
I believe there is a growing phenomenon of sexually confused teenagers turning gay through the help of Internet and imageboards. And I'm not sure what to think of it. You can see it happening on Facepunch as well. I think it's not good.
Why isn't it good? You know before all this public support teenagers were on the verge of suicide, people hated gays or despised them, where was the hope? Then people told them it'll get better and they came out slowly, and now what everyone is trying to do is to say, it's alright to be gay, nobody will care so seriously they want you dead! I was bullied a lot for being gay when I wasn't gay, you know it was that prime insult to be offended by, but then I soon discovered, why be angry at something not offensive? [editline]20th August 2012[/editline]
Dunno, but letting your child be gay is abuse.
How is it being abuse? People can't help these things? Why is your life affected by this? Please respond.
