Two bystanders were hit.
Bystanders beside these two women obviously
What the fuck. It's probably pure luck that no bystander was hit. I hope these idiots see some serious jail time.
I doubt they're getting jail time. [editline]9th February 2013[/editline]
It's a shame, knowing what he knows he could have came out with it and become a hero but if he starts killing people (assuming he hasn't already, he's already wanted for something) his message is going to be lost and most people will just consider him a nutjob
Probably wouldn't have made a difference. He'd had to perform some serious operation to expose corruption, his word alone obviously won't mean jackshit. It really is a shame. From what I've read he seemed like a good man who went completely batshit after he lost his job, and now he's out there killing cops.
If anything police officers should be charged on higher standards then civilians since they exist to uphold the law whereas civilians just have to abide by it.
http://www.heavy.com/regions/2013/02/christopher-jordan-dorner-lapd-manifesto-monica-quan/ Very interesting article about the suspect, if anyone wants more info [editline]7th February 2013[/editline] He talks a lot about how the LAPD has gone to shit recently... and this news story doesn't really help their case.
Despite being wronged, he's taken the wrong action here. I do hope that he is brought in or taken down before any more innocents are killed, but the LAPD could just as easily give in to his demand that they release what really happened in his dismissal.
Apparently the truck was driving without its headlights on so they wouldn't wake people up while they delivered papers. It might have made it look more suspicious to the officers.
If anything police officers should be charged on higher standards then civilians since they exist to uphold the law whereas civilians just have to abide by it.
Should we also charge career criminals on a lower standard because they break the law for a living and don't expect much from them?
Should we also charge career criminals on a lower standard because they break the law for a living and don't expect much from them?
They are civilians, so that bit of logic falls flat on its face.
Christ, that car was turned into swiss cheese. I'm surprised those ladies were anything other than DoA, let alone still alive right now.
since this hasn't been posted before,
I am starting to think there is some conspiracy going on here.
I really wish this would be bigger news. It's a pretty huge deal that the police just decided to use lethal force on people they don't even have an identity of.

To add to this that Torrance is not in LAPD territory so they probably don't know the area as well. It's not like they suddenly decided they didn't like to look of the car and started shooting at it. What happened is that they made one of the dumbest mistakes of lives and decided that it was a life or death situation. Clearly they were wrong. More than likely they won't just get away with it and be sued.
The true question is.. who the fuck is in charge of training these officers?
I am starting to think there is some conspiracy going on here.
Well shooting everything is a great way to blow the lid off of it
They should be charged with two counts of attempted murder.
Attempted? [editline]10th February 2013[/editline] Negligent homicide is more correct.
Attempted? [editline]10th February 2013[/editline] Negligent homicide is more correct.
homicide requires killing someone, not just hospitalizing them
homicide requires killing someone, not just hospitalizing them
Oh I misread. I thought they died. [editline]10th February 2013[/editline] Well phew
